Zawiera on: artykuły naukowe z dzie- dzin: nauczania Kościoła, z życia Kościoła, zagadnienia wychowania, nierozerwalności małżeńskiej, wartości życia, inne religie świata i dział zagadnień pastoralnych: Misterium zbawcze Chrystusa osiąga swój szczyt w misterium pas- chalnym Śmierci i Zmartwychwstania. Misterium to aktualizuje się i jest ukazane w celebracji w sakramentach: wtajemniczenia chrześ- cijańskiego, uzdrowieniu i służbie komunii i powołaniu wiernych. A przede wszystkim w sprawowaniu Eucharystii, W artykule o wartości życia i jego zagrożenie, Autorka omawia dwa zagrożenia: antykoncepcja i aborcja, ich kontekst bioetyczny, z odwołaniem do nauczania Kościoła katolickiego na przykładzie Encykliki Jana Pawła II Evangelium vitae. Pastoraliści powinni zawsze być uczuleni na sprawach dotyczących Kościoła tu i teraz. Problem małżeństw rozwiedzionych jest proble- mem jak najbardziej na czasie. Autor podkreśla, że rozwiedzeni są pełnowartościowymi członkami wspólnoty kościelnej, gdyż pozostają w tej wspólnocie i jako jej członkowie mają wszystkie prawa, nawet wtedy kiedy nie mogą z nich czasowo korzystać. Zadaniem w dziedzienie wychowania jest prawidłowe kształto- wanie sumienia, bowiem pragnieniem wszystkich ludzi dobrej woli jest budowanie cywilizacji miłości, która powstaje dzięki osobom o dojrzałym, ukształtowanym sumieniu. Artykuł Światowe Dni Młodzieży poświęcony jest międzynaro- dowym spotkania młodych całego świata, którzy razem ze swoimi | 7 | Ks. Edmund Robek SAC katechetami, duszpasterzami, biskupami i papieżem gromadzą się w jednym miejscu, by wyznać wiarę w Jezusa Chrystusa. (Kraków 26-31 lipiec 2016). Artykuły mówiące o codziennym życiu mistycznym, – Mistyka to uczestniczenie w tajemnicy Jezusa. To wypełnienie Jego słów, wejście w Jego plan. To pójście za Nim, dokądkolwiek On zaprowadzi. Kolejny dział poświęcony jest innym religiom takim jak: islam, który, obok judaizmu i chrześcijaństwa, należy do wielkich religii monoteistycznych, o wspólnych korzeniach, spotykających się w oso- bie Abrahama. Jak wyżej powiedziałem, że pastoraliści powinni zawsze być uczu- leni na sprawach dotyczących Kościoła Obecny rok, to rok poświęcony Miłosierdziu Bożemu, pragnę zakończyć mój wstęp do niniejszego numeru. Twój wzrok pełen miłości uwolnił Zacheusza oraz Mateusza od nie- woli pieniądza, a nierządnicę i Magdalenę od szukania szczęścia wyłącznie w rze- czach stworzonych. Wzrok ten sprawił, że Piotr zapłakał po zdradzie, a żałujący Dobry Łotr usłyszał zapewnienie o Raju. Pozwól nam tak wysłuchać słów, które wypowiedziałeś do Samary- tanki, jakbyś je wypowiedział do każdego nas: O, gdybyś znała dar Boży! Ty, który jesteś Obliczem widzialnym Ojca niewidzialnego, Boga, który objawia swoją wszechmoc przede wszystkim przez prze- baczenie i miłosierdzie: spraw, aby Kościół na świecie stał się widzialnym obliczem Ciebie, swojego Pana zmartwychwstałego i uwielbionego. Ty zechciałeś również, aby Twoi słudzy przybrani byli w słabość po to, | 8 | Wstęp aby mogli okazywać słuszne współczucie tym, którzy trwają w nie- wiedzy i błędzie: niech każda osoba, która się do nich zwraca, czuje się oczekiwana, kochana oraz doświadcza przebaczenia od Boga. Amen | 9 | Warszawskie Studia Pastoralne UKSW Rok XI 2016 Nr 1 (30) Sergiusz Anoszko PRAKTYKI KULTOWE W NOWYCH RUCHACH RELIGIJNYCH: RYTY I CEREMONIE W KOŚCIELE SCJENTOLOGICZNYM Cultic practices in new religious movements: rites and ceremonies in the Church of Scientology Wprowadzenie Jak i każda religia tak również scjentologia ma swój własny kult, który w pewnym stopniu jest odwzorowaniem systemu liturgicznego religii tradycyjnych, i to przede wszystkim chrześcijaństwa, o czym pisał sam założyciel tego nowego ruchu religijnego L. Ron Hubbard1, ale także posiada swoje odrębne przepisy na płaszczyźnie obrzę- dowej. W strukturze rytuału tego związku wyznaniowego można więc wyróżnić dwie kategorie praktyk kultowych: sakramenty, bądź ceremonie par excellence – nadanie imienia, ślub, assist, pogrzeb, or- dynacja oraz służbę sensu stricto, bądź liturgię2. Niekiedy ceremonie nadania imienia, zawarcia małżeństwa i pochówku wyodrębniają w kategorię rytów3. Specyficzną formą kultu dla tego ruchu religijnego 1 L. The comments by presenters of programmes, in both instances made reference to Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ plan to have a “silent birth” in accordance with their faith, Scientology. Since the complaints deal with the same subject, I will deal with both matters in one judgment. The Tribunal held that in the particular programmes which have been complained about, it did not believe that the Scientology belief in still birth would have been criticized, had it not been for the world famous actors involved. Of course, the references go further than mere criticism but amount to joking with what Scientology believers regard as part of their faith and the practices and respect for Ron Hubbard that go with it.

Childbirth is a painful experience for both mother and child and words in particular spoken during these moments can have an adverse effect later in life. “I wanted Navarra to be born in a calm environment. A child goes through enough trauma during labor without adding to it. I believed she deserved peace and quiet when she arrived,” says Zabrina. “Having the silent birth meant that it was very much just me and the baby going through something together in the calmest way possible.” Zabrina thinks the world of her daughter whom she says is a bright, loving, happy child who is virtually trouble-free.

Abstract: Since orthodox medicine sets the standard for what is acceptable within the medical arena, some alternative medicines integrate into medicine while others remain separate or face too much scrutiny to continue practicing. In the 1970s, Morely and Wallis (1976) recognized Dianetics and Scientology as a “marginal medicine,” and from the 1960s to 1970s several government organizations worldwide investigated the group. Consequently, Scientology retreated from the medical arena, claiming that it was a religion and establishing boundaries to insulate itself from regulation. Despite Scientology’s attempted retreat, Dianetics and Scientology doctrines and practices continue to reflect concerns and actions that belong to what Tovey and Adams (2001) identify as the social world of alternative medicine. In this article, I outline Scientology’s position within the medical arena, how that position has transformed over time, and Scientology’s isolation from the dominant social world within that arena (specifically scientific medicine). It is nearly impossible to imagine Western society without the presence of scientific medicine. Prior to the last 130 to 180 years, however, competition for legitimacy between various healing organizations within the medical arena occurred on relatively equal terms (Morely and Wallis 1976:9; Tovey and Adams 2001:698; Samson 1999:3).
