The most recent video features Guillermo Rivero, Managing Partner of Root Change (United States). In this interview, he discusses the importance of SGB capacity development to help businesses succeed, and the need to bring in outside input and ideas to help an organization evolve. Previous videos from the ANDE/Next Billion partnership include SA Capital (China), Arogyam Organics (India), and the Enterprise Development Center (Nigeria). ~~~ Four ANDE Members make Global Journal Top 100 NGOs List The Global Journal, a new publication aimed at opinion leaders and policy makers in the development sector, has just published its Top 100 Best NGOs in the World. Up to a billion more have access only to unreliable electricity networks. Business is a critical actor in addressing global energy challenges. Therefore, ANDE and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) brought together expert panels to discuss what leading companies are doing to scale up access to clean energy in developing countries, how they are tackling the associated challenges, and their perspective on the role of public policy, regulation and financing to catalyze business investment in clean energy access. Information, including presentations and a video of the event, can be found here. ~~~ New Members BiDNetwork aims to start and grow businesses in emerging markets, create jobs and income through these businesses, and mobilize private capital and know-how to businesses.
