In this report, we discuss our corporate responsibility performance during 2011, and the actions we are taking to achieve our vision. We prepared this report using the Global Reporting Initiative* (GRI) G3.1 guidelines, and we self-declare the report at the GRI Application Level A. Despite a tough macro-economic environment, the company set records in platform unit sales, revenue, and earnings, reflecting strong global demand for our products and solid execution by our employees around the world. We have an ambitious vision for the next decade: Create and extend computing technology to connect and enrich the lives of every person on earth. Each award comes with a $50,000 cash prize. Astrology “Big changes can come from simple and uncomplicated solutions,” said Peter Friess, president of of the Tech Museum, which has administered the prizes for the past eight years. “These winners have all seen a difference in their lives, careers and how they’ve been perceived afterwards.” A well-heeled crowd of 1,450 filled a convention center ballroom (the awards have outgrown their former venue in the Tech Museum down the street) and got the chance to peruse exhibits detailing the work of the 25 finalists, or Tech Laureates.
