He rushed for two touchdowns at SUNY-Maritime(9/10), including a 63 yard, season-long scamper and also had a sparkling 102 yard, four touchdown performance vs. Saint Francis (PA) (9/26).

OFFENSE, DEFENSE CLASH IN AUGUST 25 RAIN-FILLED GREEN & WHITE GAME The annual Wagner College Green & White Game offered a little bit of everything for the players and coaches as well as the courageous fans who endured a 30-minute weather delay at as the Seahawks held their fi nal tuneup before Saturday’s season opener vs. Saint Francis (PA). The nearly three-hour scrimmage that began at 11:00 am featured stretches of steady rain, some of the downpour variety. Most of the contest itself centered on the battle between two players competing for the backup quarterback position behind junior Nick Doscher (Staten Island, NY/ Moore Catholic). The competition for the backup quarterback spot is between redshirt freshman Matt Misley (Park Ridge, NJ/ Park Ridge) and junior Justin Sciarra (La Canada, CA/ St. Francis Prep). Head coach Walt Hameline discussed the play of his young quarterbacks. Both quarterbacks were particularly effective early on in the scrimmage. Misley connected on his fi rst fi ve passing attempts early while Sciarra threw a dart over the middle to senior wide receiver David Crawford (Carrollton, TX/ Hebron) for a 38-yard gain which set up a four-yard touchdown run by junior running back Dominique Williams (Bridgeton, NJ/ Milford Academy). For Williams, it was an important step in his return from knee surgery which forced him to sit last season after a stellar freshman campaign in 2009. Williams talked about how it feels to be back following the scrimmage. Another bright spot for the Seahawks was the fi ne kicking job turned in by junior David Lopez (Plantation, FL/ American Heritage). A Second-Team All-Northeast Conference (NEC) selection last season, Lopez was also named to the 2011 Preseason All-NEC Team. Lopez lived up to his accolades today by going a perfect 3-for-3, nailing kicks from 38, 37 and 33 yards. One of the day’s highlights was an electrifying 71-yard punt return for a touchdown by speedy wide receiver Wandy Saintilien (Miami, Fl/ ASA Institute). The shifty 5-7, 150-pounder juked several would-be tacklers in the middle of the fi eld before out-running everyone to the end zone. Defensively, senior linebacker Nick Suppes (Dumont, NJ/ Dumont) made a host of plays early in the contest while senior defensive tackle Sal Gigante (New Windsor, NY/ Cornwall Central Catholic) came up with some big run-stuffi ng efforts late.

I think we’re good on the perimeter. At the quarterback and the perimeter with our skill people I think we’re really good but the offensive line is a group of players that haven’t played together. Now the question is how do they line up and go the fi rst game. “Defensively, I like this group,” Hameline added. “I think we’ve got a chance to a really good defensive team. Now we’ve had some guys out with injuries and others who are banged up but that’s football. Everybody got a chance to compete today, all of our freshmen and the whole crew. I think what you worry about early on too is your special teams and just how are the guys going to react when we kick it off for real next Saturday. But we’ve got a lot of fi lm to look at from today, we got a good look at the offense, defense and special teams.“Overall it was a good camp and we’re excited where we are.”

GAME ONE: Wagner 38, Saint Francis (PA) 28 Staten Island, NY – Sophomore running back Dominique Williams, who missed all of last season with a knee injury, made a resounding return to the fi eld by exploding for a career-high 180 yards on 26 carries while adding two touchdowns to lead Wagner past Saint Francis (PA) 38-28 in the season opener for both teams. Red Flash running back Kyle Harbridge paced Saint Francis (PA) with 154 yards and two touchdowns - a two-yard burst in the third quarter and a three-yard run in the fourth - to draw his team within three points of the lead at 31-28. Williams began the ensuing drive with an 11-yard burst, giving the Seahawks a fi rst down at the Red Flash 48. After junior quarterback Nick Doscher gained 13 yards on a pair of runs, Williams followed with a six-yard jaunt. On second-and-four from the Red Flash 28, Williams put an exclamation point on his day and, in the process, sealed the win with a nifty scamper into the end zone to fashion the fi nal score at 38-28. Saint Francis (PA) held many of the statistical advantages, out- gaining the Green & White 474-378. Most of that disparity was through the air as the Red Flash held a 273-173 in passing yards. Kelly was 20-of-38 passing for 273 yards and two touchdowns. For the Green & White, Doscher completed 8-of-18 passes for 173 yards and two scores. Sophomore cornerback Jarrett Dieudonne (Fort Lauderdale, Fl/ Dillard), a transfer from Purdue, gained the start at cornerback and paced the Seahawks with 10 tackles.
