Medan, Mei 2010 Yang membuat pernyataan, Marisi Sumantri Parlindungan Sinaga Universitas Sumatera Utara ABSTRAK Marketing politik adalah ilmu baru yang berkembang akhir-akhir ini, digabungkannya ilmu marketing kedalam dunia politik. Persaingan dalam dunia politik terjadi untuk memperebutkan hati konstituen dan membuat mereka memilih kandidat (partai politik atau kontestan individu) masing-masing selama pemilihan umum. Persaingan ini menuntut masing-masing produsen untuk memikirkan cara dan metode yang efektif untuk mampu berkomunikasi dan meyakinkan konstituen bahwa kandidat dan partai politik merekalah yang layak dipilih. Penggunaan bintang iklan dalam bidang politik untuk memenangkan suatu partai pada pemilihan umum adalah salah satu contohnya, dimana ketokohan seorang publik figur digunakan untuk mengajak masyarakat untuk menentukan pilihan pada suatu pilihan politik. Dr. H Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sebagai Ketua Dewan Pembina Partai Demokrat dimanfaatkan oleh Partai Demokrat sebagai bintang iklan untuk mendorong perolehan Suara Partai Demokrat Secara Nasional, yang terbukti berhasil dengan perolehan luar biasa, khususnya untuk Pemilihan Anggota DPRD Kota Medan. Perumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah: a) Sejauhmana pengaruh kredibilitas Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sebagai celebrity endorser, yang terdiri dari: daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian terhadap keputusan memilih Partai Demokrat di Kota Medan? dan b) Sejauhmana pengaruh kredibilitas Dr. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono sebagai celebrity endorser, yang terdiri dari daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian terhadap loyalitas pemilih Partai Demokrat di Kota Medan? Teori yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah Teori Manajemen Pemasaran yang telah dipadu dengan Pemasaran Politik, khususnya yang berkaitan dengan Celebrity endorser, keputusan memilih dan loyalitas pemilih. Metode penelitian dalam penelitian ini adalah pendekatan survey, jenis penelitian adalah deskriptif kuantitatif, dan sifat penelitiannya adalah penjelasan (explanatory). Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan wawancara (interview), daftar pertanyaan (quistionaire), dan studi dokumentasi. Model analisis data yang digunakan adalah analisis regresi linier berganda menggunakan taraf keyakinan 90% (e=0,1). Populasi adalah Pemilih Partai Demokrat untuk pemilihan Anggota DPRD Kota Medan di 5 Kecamatan terbesar berjumlah 80.558 orang. Penentuan jumlah sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan rumus Slovin dan jumlah sampel penelitian adalah sebanyak 100 orang Pemilih Partai Demokrat. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa a) Variabel daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian secara serempak berpengaruh sangat signifikan (high significant) terhadap keputusan Pemilih Partai Demokrat Kota Medan. b) Variabel Universitas Sumatera Utara daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian secara serempak berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pemilih Partai Demokrat Kota Medan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah secara serempak kredibilitas Celebrity endorser DR. H Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono yang terdiri dari daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian berpengaruh terhadap keputusan memilih Partai Demokrat Kota Medan dengan tingkat pengaruh yang sangat signifikan, dan secara parsial variabel daya tarik lebih dominan daripada variabel kepercayaan, kesukaan dan keahlian, dan kredibilitas Celebrity endorser yang etrdiri dari daya tarik, kesukaan, kepercayaan dan keahlian berpengaruh terhadap loyalitas pemilih Partai Demokrat Kota Medan. Kata kunci: Kredibilitas, keputusan pemilih dan loyalitas pemilih. Universitas Sumatera Utara ABSTRACT Marketing politics is a new knowledge that expand recently, the mix of knowledge marketing into political world. The competition in the political word happened to seize the heart of the constituents and make them choose the candidate (the political party or the individual contestant) especially in the general election. This competition allow the producer to think about the effective method to communicate and make the constituents convinced that the candidate and their political party was the right choice. The usage of celebrity endorser in the field of politics to win a party at General election is one of the example, where personality of a public figure are used to invite society to take a choice at one particular political choice. Dr. H Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as chairman of the board of supervisor Demokrat Party exploited by Demokrat Party as the celebrity endorser to push acquirement voting of Demokrat Party, success and proven with extraordinary acquirement, specially for Choosing the member of DPRD Kota Medan. Formulation of research internal issue this is the : a) The extent of credibility Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as celebrity endorser, that consist of: attractiveness, likeability, trustworthiness and expertise to influence the decision of Demokrat Party elector in Medan city? and b) The extent of credibility Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono as celebrity endorser, that consists of attractiveness, Likeability, trustworthiness and expertise to influence the loyalty of Partai Demokrat elector in city Medan? Theory that used at this research is the theory Marketing Management that already combine with Political Marketing, specially related to celebrity endorser, decision selects and elector loyalty. Research Method in research this is the approach survey, research type is descriptive quantitative, and its research characteristic is explanation (explanatory). Data collecting Method is conducted by interview, questionnaire, and documentation study. Model of data analysis that used by is Multiple linear regression analysis use confidence level 90% (e=0,1). Population is the voters Demokrat party for election member of DPRD Medan City in 5 biggest regions amount to 80.558 people. Amount Determination sample in this research use formula Slovin and amount sample research is 100 people Demokrat Party voter. This research Result indicates that a) Attractiveness Variable, likeability, trustworthiness and expertise simultaneously have an effect on very significant (high Significant) to decision Demokrat Party Voter in Medan. b) Attractiveness Variable, likeability, trustworthiness and expertise simultaneously have an effect on to loyalty of Demokrat Party elector in Medan City. Conclusion from the research is the simultaneously credibility Celebrity endorser DR. H Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono that consist of Attractiveness, likeability, Universitas Sumatera Utara trustworthiness and expertise have an effect on to decision select Demokrat Party Kota Medan by very significant influence level, and in partial attractiveness variable overdraws dominant than trustworthiness variable, likeability and expertise, and credibility Celebrity endorser that consist of attractiveness, likeability, trustworthiness and expertise have an effect on to loyalty of Demokrat Party elector in Medan city.     State Terrorism and Political Identity in Indonesia Approximately one million innocent Indonesians were killed by their fellow nationals, neighbours and kin at the height of an anti-communist campaign in the mid-1960s. This book investigates the profound political consequences of these mass killings in Indonesia upon public life in the subsequent decades, highlighting the historical speci®cities of the violence and compar- able incidents of identity politics in more recent times. Weaving a balance of theory with an empirically based analysis, the book examines how the spectre of communism and the trauma experienced in the latter half of the 1960s remain critical in understanding the dynamics of terror, coercion and consent today. Heryanto challenges the general belief that the periodic anti-communist witch-hunts of recent Indonesian history are largely a political tool used by a powerful military elite and authoritarian government. The book investigates what drove otherwise apolitical subjects to be complicit in the engul®ng cycles of witch-hunts. It argues that elements of what began as an anti-communist campaign took on a life of their own, increasingly operating independently of the violence and individual subjects who appeared to be manipulating the campaigns in the 1980s and 1990s.     ‘A peaceful festival of democracy’: aristocratic rivalry and the media in a local election in Bali Graeme MacRae and I Nyoman Darma Putra1 On 27 January 2008, Suharto, the second president of Indonesia, died. For more than three decades, he presided over an authoritarian regime known as the New Order. ‘Elections’ held ceremoniously every five years during this period were little more than pantomimes of dictatorship dressed up as democracy. Golkar, the state political machine incorporating the military and civil service, won them by a huge majority. The resulting parliaments duly reelected Suharto as president (Pemberton 1994:2–7).2 For nearly ten years, since Suharto was forced to stand down, the country has struggled to find a path toward democracy. A central aspect of this transition has been, since 1999, a move toward otonomi daerah (regional autonomy) — a systematic decentralisation of power, budgets, and representation to lower, more local levels of government, especially kabupaten (districts). This has involved local governments and their leaders, long appointed from above, now being elected by popular vote. Elections of heads of districts (bupati) known as pilkada (pemilihan kepala daerah) began in June 2005, a year after the first direct presidential election. Since then they have been implemented progressively across the country.3 A few days before Suharto died, the bupati of kabupaten Gianyar in Bali was, for the first time, elected by pilkada. The vote was close: 49.33 per cent (134,527 votes) to 50.67 per cent (138,182 votes), split between the incumbent, Anak Agung Gede Agung Bharata, representing the PDI–P (Partai Demokrasi Indonesia–Perjuangan, the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle) and the successful candidate, Ir Tjokorda Oka Artha Ardhana Sukawati, commonly known as Cok Ace,4 who ran on the ticket of Golkar, the party that emerged out of the New Order’s state political machine.

It is compounded by the dependency of political parties on their leadership figures. The Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDIP) is considered as the biggest political party in Indonesia’s post-Suharto era. The existence of Sukarno’s political dynasty in PDIP is not only seen as part of their history but also as the identity of the party and becomes their uniqueness. The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of Sukarno’s political dynasty towards PDIP institutionalization and how it works with the existing liberal democratic system in Indonesia. This research is based on two theories: elite theory and party institutionalization theory. However, political dynasty theory as an extraction of elite theory is also used in the framework to provide better understanding of the concept. In this research, the PDIP institutionalization is measured by combining Levitsky’s (1998) model with the Mark Weatherall’s (2013) approach as well as Basedau and Stroh’s (2008) model. This research is a qualitative study that includes field research to seek information through observation and interviews.

Many places facilitated the disco-lovers which were begun with the development of Discobar, Night Club, then Discotheque. They were used as a medium of socialiZation and became a symbol of modernity which brought social consequences for the society in Semarang. This research discovers; firstly, the emergence of the discotheque and some nightclubs during the Orde Baru governance became an opportunity for the entrepreneurs who work in this field. For the governance, the amount of money circulation in this sector was considered an effective way to increase revenue either officially or through bribery. The existence of discotheques and any nightclubs were considered Received: having an important role in reducing unemployment.     T h e R u s t l e o f G h o s t s : B u n g K a r n o in t h e N e w O r d e r - Karen Brooks Introduction In the final days of September 1994, a polemic erupted in the Indonesian press over a new book written by eighty-year-old journalist and former Nationalist Party of Indonesia (PNI) leader, Manai Sophiaan. The book, according to the author, is an attempt to clarify former President Sukarno's position in the events before, during, and after the tragic coup attempt on September 30, 1965 (hereafter referred to by the Indonesian acronym G-30-S). The author's position on this matter is quite clear from the start: the book's title reads Kehormatan Bagi Yang Berhak: Bung Karno Tidak Terlibat G-30-S (Respect for Him Who Deserves It: Bung1 2 Kamo Was Not Involved in G-30-S). Several weeks later, on September 25, following the publication of a lengthy interview with the author in the magazine, Tiara,3 Manai Sophiaan and his new book became the subject of a fierce national debate. In the now notorious interview with Tiara, as well as other subsequent interviews, Manai declared that he wrote the book in order to "straighten out history"—to make sure that Sukarno is accorded the respect and historical role that he deserves.4 As the book's title suggests, Manai is arguing that Sukarno was not involved in the coup. But given that the Soeharto government has never directly implicated him in the coup, for whom was Manai making his historical clarification? Kajian Teori Sebagai bentuk kegiatan ilmiah, setiap penelitian memerlukan landasan kerja berupa teori yang merupakan kumpulan defenisi-defenisi yang membantu menjelaskan suatu permasalahan. Teori sebagai hasil perenungan yang mendalam, mensistem dan terstruktur terhadap gejala-gejala alam berfungsi sebagai pengarah dalam kegiatan penelitian.11 Dalam penelitian kualitatif teori sifatnya tidak mengekang peneliti. Peneliti bebas berteori untuk memaknai data dan mendialogkannya dengan konteks sosial yang terjadi. Teori membantu memperkuat interpretasi peneliti sehingga dapat diterima sebagai suatu kebenaran bagi pihak lain.12 1. Teori Naratif Algirdas Julian (A.J) Greimas Teori struktur naratif A.J Greimas dibangun dengan asumsi dasar bahwa teks naratif tersusun dari analogi-analogi diadik struktural dalam lingustik yang bersumber dari Ferdinand de Saussure di satu sisi, serta teori naratif dongeng Vladimir Propp di sisi lain. Dengan fokus pada relasi dan fungsi aktan.13 Aktan adalah sesuatu yang abstrak, tentang cinta, kebebasan atau sekelompok tokoh. Aktan adalah satuan naratif terkecil yang dikaitkan dengan satuan sintaksis naratif. Aktan berarti unsur sintaksis yang memiliki fungsi-fungsi tertentu. Sedangkan fungsi adalah satuan dasar cerita yang menerangkan tindakan logis dan bermakna yang membentuk narasi. Sisi kemanusiaan Sukarno digambarkan dalam foto-foto tersebut, baik sebagai ayah, pemimpin, maupun penyuka seni. Dengan mengetahui simpul tersebut, foto-foto karya Dullah ini perlu disosialisasikan kepada publik dan dapat digunakan sebagai sarana pendidikan kebangsaan bagi Indonesia, terutama bagi para calon pemimpin.
