This Situation Report is issued by the National Emergency Operation Centre and covers the period from 0000 hours to 0800hours on 27/02/2016. All updates in this report include input that was received at the NEOC during the shift.

Outreach teams from CWM Hospital were stationed at Nayavu Health Centre managed to attend to 58 cases. Now moved to Dawasamu Nursing Station to attend to a pneumonia case. All other cases were report/transferred to Korovou Hospital CWMH

4.2.3 Update: Fiji Electricity Authority 4.2.3.1 Power Restoration Update on major transmission infrastructure EVENT LOCATION ACTION TAKEN FEA has started excavating temporary Fallen tower on the Wailoa to Vuda road access to the tower that has cut off Wailoa Power station transmission line. power supply from Wailoa station to Western Division Twelve out of two hundred and ninety six (296) poles are down on Vuda to Rarawai Contractors are expected to starts work on the said line. 4.2.6 Update: Schools – Ministry of Health

 Damages noted to WHS office at Vidilo House. 6 officers engaged in clean-up at Level 3. Ministry of Labour visited office advised not safe to work in – computer not to be switched on.  WHS – Update requested on Yasawa. Was advised that only 3 stations were contactable – Malolo, Yalobi and Yanumu. Commissioner Western is organising trip to Yasawa’s.  Waimaro Nursing Station Completely Destroyed not functioning. – Services provided from Nurses Qtrs  Nanukuloa Health Centre - 3 nurses requesting back up, sharing 1 quarters with leaking roof

Case is now stable and will await transferred to Children’s Ward.  Report provided earlier in the day – trees uprooted but no major damages to facility. 2 AC units need urgent repairs – due to power fluctuations.  5 cases were transferred from to Labasa Hospital (1 Taveuni/2 Savusavu/2 from Nabouwalu. All waiting for Operation this afternoon when report was received at 5pm. Updates received at 5pm.  Labasa in full operation but standby generator is on for backup electricity supply.
