In the southeastern side of the Garden there is a small guesthouse, the rooms of which are made available to guest students and researchers. The rooms are simple but comfortable: they are equipped with bed, cupboard, closet and work desk and some of them have an internet connection. Some rooms are grouped into small units with shared bathroom and kitchen. Each room is cleaned once a week and the linen changed. Keys If you reserved a guest room, you can pick up the keys from the gatekeeper of the “Wirtschaftshof” during the opening times: Mo-Fr 5.45am-5.15pm. If you are not able to check in during the opening times or need special arrangements, please get in touch with your contact person at the Botanic Garden. Emergencies In case of emergency a night-watch can be reached by ringing the bell "Kesselhaus- Nachtdienst" at the Wirtschaftshof gate. Services in the Museum and the Garden Opening times The Museum and the Garden are open to guest students and researchers from Monday to Friday from 7am to 6pm. The library is open from Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. Special arrangements to use the facilities outside the opening times can be made upon request. Food and drinks In the Museum. Inside the Museum’s building there is a small cafeteria with vending machines for drinks and snacks. In the Garden. In the Witschaftshof, at the eastern corner of the Garden, there is the so- called “Gardeners’ cafeteria” where hot meals are served on weekdays from 12 a.m. to 1 p.m. In summer, a restaurant opens in the Garden next to the “Unter den Eichen” entrance, as well as a café near the greenhouses. Surroundings. At the Cafeteria of the Institute of Pharmacy - Königin-Luise Str. 4 - you can get sandwiches, hot drinks and hot meals (at lunch time). A broader choice of warm dishes is offered by the canteen of the “Biologische Bundesanstalt” - Königin-Luise Str. 19. The main cafeteria of the Free University is not far (Otto-von-Simson-Str. 26) and offers a large selection of hot and cold dishes at low prices. .
