3 HOW DOES THIS FIT INTO THE STORY?

Instructions: ● Read the story about Paul in Rome from Acts 28: 17-24, 28-31. ● Ask the class to explain how each person or thing from the list below fits into the story.

List: 1. Paul (in jail for being a follower of Jesus) 2. Rome (place where Paul was imprisoned) 3. Invitation (Paul invited anyone to come to his jail to hear about Jesus) 4. Jesus (Paul was telling people to follow Jesus, who fixes our sins) 5. Acts (book in the where our story is found)

Supplies needed: None

BE A LIGHT FOR JESUS CRAFT

Instructions: ● Give each kid a candle template (page 5). Have them cut out each item. ● Have them color the candle and the candle base. Then have them glue the verse to the base part of the candle and the phrase to the candle itself. ● As they work, read the story about Paul in Rome from Acts 28: 17-24, 28-31. Remind them that Paul was a light for Jesus and shared about him with anyone who would listen. We should be lights for Jesus, too.

Supplies needed: Candle template (pg. 5, 1 set per kid), Scissors, Crayons, Glue

Paul Preached In Athens Craft

Bible Story: Paul Preached In Athens

Bible Text: Acts 17:16-34

Suggested Learning Outcome: This simple coloring craft will reinforce the Paul Preached in Athens story and remind kids that help children learn that the God of the Bible, is the only true God and He raised Jesus, His Son, from the dead.

Supplies List: Printable card templates (below) Crayons, colored pencils, and/or markers Stickers and/or other things that can be used to decorate the cards

Instructions:

Step 1. Print copies of the card templates (below). Have children fold them in half and cut them out (see image). Assist as needed with younger children.

Step 2. Lead learners to color and decorate each card in a way that reflects the message on the card (see images).

Step 3. Encourage kids to give their cards to people who need to know about Jesus. They can be like Paul, delivering the same message he preached in Athens!
