In the past my son and I have trekked over to Ossipee, NH and Lake George to get our winter Model T “Fix” at the Model T Snowmobile Club Annual National Meet.     The Silver Anniversary {;jlidden Tour by Henry Austin Clark, Jr. Twenty-five years ago the Clarks headed off Long Island towards Albany for the start of the Fl RST Glidden Tour Revival in a thirty-four old Renault berline, wondering what it would be like, and how much trouble we would encounter. This October we again started off, this time to Mobile, Alabama in a forty-one year old Lincoln sport phaeton. The re­ spective years of the cars were 1912 and 1929, in­ cidentally, reflecting a significant change in the cars going on the Tours since the beginning. Oddly enough the 1912 Renault ran like a watch with no brakes, while the 1929 Lincoln gave lots of trouble on the way south, until helping friends made it right. In between the years 1946 and 1970 we have been to lots of places from Maine to the Rockies, and from Canada to Florida on the Tours.     Cleveland All-Stars Tour June 12-14 2015 Welcome to the Cleveland All-Stars Homecoming Show and Tour for Cleveland area built vehicles. This is an optional tour you can do anytime during your stay, but designed specifically for the route from the event hotels to the cookout at the Templar factory site. It is meant to be old car friendly with no expressway areas, but in order to get to the Templar event on time, it is suggested that you leave the hotel by 2:00 PM. The tour covers former sites of Cleveland auto manufacturers and their industry suppliers. Unfortunately many of these sites the tour will visit are just that --- sites. Many of these industrial complexes have become obsolete and are no longer standing. Several have been razed quite recently. Others cannot be included on this tour as they are not on the route to the Templar site. Their locations will be on another hand-out and can be visited later at your leisure. Although this tour merely scratches the surface of Cleveland’s rich industrial history, we hope you enjoy it and visit Cleveland again soon.
