After Milan’s ready-to-wear fashion shows, the week of accessories starts. Actually, it has always taken place but this year it is being organized and aggregated into one big event thanks to the agreement among four important MIDO MICAM MIPEL MIFUR fashion trade shows, which have agreed to coordinate the timing. Mido, Micam, Mipel and Mifur will take place in the exhibition center in Fiera Milano Rho from March 4 to March 9, offering a complete overview of shoes, bags, eyewear and furs, elements which not only are no longer secondary but are ever more protagonists of the seasons’ looks. ALL ACCESSories is the name of this event. ALL ACCESSories is also the name of the magazine that the four trade shows and their respective trade organizations – along with Fiamp and with the support of The Italian Trade Commission (ICE) - have created along with Condé Nast to offer visitors a useful tool for navigating the trends for F/W 2011-2012. Who will visit the Week of Accessories (March 4 – March 9)? Buyers, designers, exhibitors, fashion insiders, style mavens and those who can pick up on the direction the trends are taking and experiment with them on themselves fi rst. For these people, it’s a time to do research, look for inspirations and discoveries and – most of all – to make choices: what will the accessory trends for this coming Fall/Winter be? For those who want to look into the future, there is a special appointment on the horizon: the Week of Accessories, which will take place in Milan’s Fiera exhibition center from March 4 to March 9. It will be a chance to preview all of the innovations in the various industries and to compare notes with buyers and manufacturers. It will also be an opportunity to show off one’s own style, and there’s nothing wrong with that. 4 MIMIMIMI-servizio.indd 4-5 17-12-2010 11:35:48 At left. Kangaroo fur with leo- pard print, Gucci. Exuding talent and ambition, our pages shed light on the tastemakers taking over the world with blood, sweat and tears: inspiring generations, serving as role models and having fun all the while. The perfect example is our cover star Rosalía, photographed in Los Angeles by Vince Aung. Fellow Spaniard Álvaro Soler reveals how the economic climate prompted his start in music. Stateside, electronic duo SofiT ukker talks promoting inclusiveness through music; Beth Ditto discusses feminism, queer culture and body-positivity and, on the other side of the pond, Australian sensation Cody Simpson addresses climate change.

The Vignelli Legacy on Show in D.C. Published on iItaly.org (http://www.iitaly.org) The Vignelli Legacy on Show in D.C. Tommaso Cartia (March 15, 2018) There’s an Italian hand behind the iconic designs of the New York and Washington subway maps and lettering, or the logos of companies like American Airlines and Bloomingdales: it is the hand of designers Massimo and Lella Vignelli. The Embassy of Italy in Washington, the Italian Cultural Institute and the Rochester Institute of Technology, celebrate the genius of the Vignellis in an exhibition opening on March 16 that will be on view until April 29, 2018. The opening event will include a lecture, among the others, by R. Roger Remington, Professor of Graphic Design at the Rochester Institute of Technology and a video-interview with Massimo Vignelli by the Editor in Chief of i-Italy, Letizia Airos introduced by Renato Miracco, Cultural Attaché of the Italian Embassy in Washington. We had the chance to talk with Emanuele Amendola, Director of the Italian Cultural Institute in DC, who shared with us his enthusiasm about the exhibition and the influence of the Vignellis on modern design. “The idea was born a long time ago from a series of conversations that took place at Rochester Page 1 of 4 The Vignelli Legacy on Show in D.C. • Emilio Cavallini: Harmony Runs on a Thread 8 Settembre 9 Ottobre 2016 Gr Gallery New York Vernissage: Giovedi 8 Settembre, 18:00 – 21:00
EMILIO CAVALLINI: HARMONY RUNS ON A THREAD 8 SETTEMBRE 9 OTTOBRE 2016 GR GALLERY NEW YORK VERNISSAGE: GIOVEDI 8 SETTEMBRE, 18:00 – 21:00 GR gallery è lieta di presentare “Emilio Cavallini: Harmony Runs On A Thread”, prima personale dell'artista presso la galleria di New York.
