ARCAT (Alverthorpe Retired Citizens of Abington Township) is a SENIOR group for those who live in Abington and surrounding areas and who are at least 55 years of age. ARCAT, started over 45 years ago, is run by a staff of volunteers under the sponsorship of the Abington Township Parks and Recreation Department.

Members have the opportunity to enjoy trips and tours designed with seniors in mind. The 2019 schedule includes Spring and Holiday luncheons; a bus trip on April 24, 2019 to “Murder at Mount Hope Manor.” an interactive murder mystery luncheon; a bus trip August 22, 2019 to Hershey Comedy Show and luncheon; and quarterly meetings with refreshments and speakers. You pay a fee for the membership and each time you go to the pool you pay the fee that applies to you. It is not a one day pass you can purchase if you just want to go to the pool once.
