Section 200.20 Full Access to Track The Board and its employees shall at all times have full access to the course, plant, and grounds of all racetracks and wagering locations in the State of Illinois. Section 200.30 Inspection of Tack The Board shall have the right to authorize a person or persons to enter any place within the track enclosure, or other places where horses are kept that are eligible to race at the current meetings, to inspect and examine the personal effects or property of every licensee within such places. Section 200.40 Inspections and Searches a) The Illinois Racing Board or the State Stewards investigating for violations of law or the rules and regulations of the Board shall have the power to permit persons authorized by either of them to search: 1) the person of all persons licensed by the Board, and of all employees and agents of any race track operator licensed by the Board, or to enter and search the jockey and drivers’ rooms, paddocks, stables, stalls, tack rooms, barns, sheds, horse trailers, other vehicles related to the transportation of racehorses and/or the transportation of equipment used by or in the care of the racehorses, or other vehicles and equipment in the immediate stable area; and 2) the person and/or property of all vendors who are permitted by the race track operator to sell and distribute their wares and merchandise within the race track enclosure; and 3) all public areas in the racetrack enclosure, in order to inspect and examine the personal effects or property of licensees and vendors. b) Dormitory rooms are excluded from searches conducted pursuant to this Section but may be subject to search pursuant to a warrant. c) Searches conducted pursuant to this Section shall be based on reasonable suspicion of a violation of law or of the rules and regulations of the Board by the party whose premises or person is the subject of the search and shall be conducted in a reasonable period of time, and shall not be so frequent as to constitute harassment of a licensee. Searches of persons conducted pursuant to this Section shall consist of an external pat down and shall not be internally invasive. The policies of the Board in relation to administrative searches shall be posted at every racetrack under the Board’s control. d) Each licensee, in accepting a license, releases all claims or possible actions for damages that he or she may have by virtue of any action taken under this Section. Each employee of a licensed operator, in accepting his or her employment, and each vendor who is permitted to sell and distribute merchandise within the race track enclosure, does thereby irrevocably consent to search under this Section and waive and release all claims or possible actions for damages resulting from any action taken under this Section. At the time a licensee applies for or renews his or her license, he or she shall receive a copy of the policies of

Aerodynamic performance of a F1 car is currently one of the vital aspects of performance gain, as marginal gains are obtained due to engine and mechanical changes to the car. Aerial view of Mount Clemens Race Track about 1955 shows the lagoon between the ovals ount Clemens Race Track was located on a 55-acre site along North River Road near the I-94 Mfreeway. The property was purchased after World War II by Mount Clemens resident Dr. Clayton T. Stubbs and his wife Ruth, for use as a private pheasant hunting preserve. The land was an old harness racing site, the Clinton Driving Park, which had not been used for racing since about 1925. Dr. Stubbs discovered the old track, which had been erected in 1916 by the Mount Clemens Driving Club, overgrown with brush. About 1950, some local race drivers who were using the track to practice for their races at the Motor City Speedway approached Dr. Stubbs about cleaning up the track and offering races there. Dr. Stubbs agreed to their proposal, and the Mount Clemens Race Track was born. The first public race was offered on September 3, 1951, with 5,000 fans on hand. For years, the raceway attracted crowds for MMSRA stock car races on Sunday nights during the summer (in later years the schedule would change to Thursday and Saturday nights), as well as the occasional crowd-pleasing demolition derby. Grandstands seating 5,500 featured an adjacent picnic and playground area, as Dr. and Mrs. Stubbs wanted their racetrack to provide entertainment for the entire family. The grounds included half-mile and quarter-mile ovals and a figure-eight track.

    YAHWEH vERsus BAALISM A THEOLOGICAL READING OF THE GIDEON-ABIMELECH NARRATIVE WOLFGANG BLUEDORN A thesis submitted to Cheltenham and Gloucester College of Higher Education in accordance with the requirements of the degree of Doctor of Philosophy in the Faculty of Arts & Humanities April 1999 ABSTRACT This study attemptsto describethe contribution of the Abimelech narrative for the theologyof Judges.It is claimedthat the Gideonnarrative and the Abimelechnarrative need to be viewed as one narrative that focuseson the demonstrationof YHWH'S superiority over Baalism, and that the deliverance from the Midianites in the Gideon narrative, Abimelech's kingship, and the theme of retribution in the Abimelech narrative serve as the tangible matter by which the abstracttheological theme becomesnarratable. The introduction to the Gideon narrative, which focuses on Israel's idolatry in a previously unparalleled way in Judges,anticipates a theological narrative to demonstrate that YHWH is god. YHwH's prophet defines the general theological background and theme for the narrative by accusing Israel of having abandonedYHwH despite his deeds in their history and having worshipped foreign gods instead. YHWH calls Gideon to demolish the idolatrous objects of Baalism in response, so that Baalism becomes an example of any idolatrous cult. Joash as the representativeof Baalism specifies the defined theme by proposing that whichever god demonstrateshis divine power shall be recognised as god. The following episodesof the battle against the Midianites contrast Gideon's inadequateresources with his selfish attempt to be honoured for the victory, assignthe victory to YHWH,who remains in control and who thus demonstrateshis divine power, and show that Baal is not presentin the narrative.

    XC SKI RACING PLUS XC ski racing is fun… right? Well, what about ski racing with your brain turned on? That’s ski orienteering! What’s the difference? In xc skiing, the course is marked to tell you where to go – just apply the horsepower. In Ski-O, you still have to apply the horsepower, but you have to decide where to go while doing it. How does it work? At the start, you’re given a map of your course, like the map shown here. The pink circles represent control points that you must visit, in the right order, as fast as you can. The solid lines are wide, skateable trails, and dashed lines are narrower trails where you can only double pole. Knowing your relative strength as a skier affects your route choices – how would YOU go from #10 to #11 on this map? What do you do at the controls? At each control, there is a flag to mark the spot. To record that you’ve been there, you “punch” with an electronic recording device, worn on your finger. A rain drenched track didn’t stop FUCHS sponsored Franco Scribante from asserting his dominance, winning round 3 of the Supercar Series. Scribante was quick to demonstrate his intentions in the qualifying race, claiming pole position.
