TURKEY AND THE WORLD Due to the geographical position of the country, Turkey has had a strategic role in aviation industry and it seems that, with significant increase in the passenger traffic figures, Turkey will continue to be one of the leading countries. Passenger traffic in Turkey increased by 10.9% which is much higher than both the World average of % 5,9 and average of %5,7.

ISTANBUL GRAND AIRPORT One of the World's most important airport construction projects is coming to life in Istanbul. FIRST TURKISH REGIONAL AIRCRAFT TRJET

Turkish Regional Aircraft Project will utilize a modernized version of the Dornier 328, the TRJ328, as a stepping stone toward production of the Republic of Turkey's first domestically-designed and produced passenger aircraft, the TRJ628 concept aircraft. The Republic of Turkey, with technology transfer, will capitalize on Dornier's legacy of innovation dating back almost to the start of commercial aviation, to support the growth of Turkey's existing civil aviation industry, as well as to open the country to the global aviation market.

IRAN FACTOR

Iran, having the second largest economy in the Middle East and North is a market with enormous potential and will surely produce a flurry of international expansion after the lifting of sanction. Iranian government has announced that, the renovation of the İran's operational airports and the new airport construction projects, all together will make Iran a very important hub in the Region, in 20 years time.
