Weyburn, Saskatchewan 2021 New Residents Guide #ThisIsWeyburn I welcome you to the City of Weyburn. Our community has always been a friendly and charming community in the southeast Saskatchewan region. Our residents and visitors enjoy beautiful landscapes, quality services and several opportunities within our community. Some of these exciting opportunities include safe and clean recreation facilities, spacious parks, unique local businesses and valuable regional services. The resiliency of this community has allowed for our residents to feel secure about the professional services our City provides them, especially during the unique times we are facing in this world. The City of Weyburn’s short and long-term goals allow for these high quality services to continue, and I look forward to you and your family experiencing what we have planned for our community’s future. Let this guide be a useful tool to help you find new and exciting Mayor Marcel Roy experiences here in our community, and I encourage you to explore what Weyburn and area has to offer. Hello and welcome to our community! On behalf of the RM of Weyburn Council, we thank you for making our wonderful community your home. The RM of Weyburn surrounds the City of Weyburn giving you the opportunity to live a rural lifestyle while still being close enough to a larger centre with all the amenities, like shopping, restaurants and a strong business community. Some of the other things you will find within our communities include numerous sports and sports teams for adults and children. Beautiful parks and the Tatagwa Trail system, Nickle Lake, Weyburn Golf Club and the Moffit Pits for the dirt bike enthusiasts to name just a few. There are also miles and miles of country roads to tour down letting you see firsthand where the food and livestock is grown and raised that feed the world. Having been born and raised in the RM, and now raising my Reeve Norm McFadden family here, I can honestly say how great this community is for raising a family. One of the greatest things about the community, and the thing I love most, is the people. I am constantly amazed at how people from all over the world come here with unique ideas and experiences and work together to create shared values and vision for this wonderful place. In this place, we have each chosen to call home. Again, welcome to the community, we’re glad to have you. 2 2021 New Residents Guide City of Weyburn R.M. of Weyburn No.67 Population (2016 Census) : 10,870 Population (2016 Census) : 1,064 157 - 3rd Street NE 23 - 6th Street NE Weyburn, SK S4H 2K6 Weyburn, SK S4H 1A7 (306) 848.3200 (306) 842.2314 www.weyburn.ca www.rmweyburn.ca Key Distances Regina, Saskatchewan: 115 km Canada/US Border Crossings: Saskatoon, Saskatchewan: 372 km North Portal (Highway #39): 125 km Calgary, Alberta: 837 km Fortuna/Oungre Port (Highway #35): 90 km Winnipeg, Manitoba: 519 km Minot, North Dakota: 279 km Province of Saskatchewan The population of Saskatchewan is approximately 1.18 million (2016 Census).
