The Early Church Was Not Trinitarian

Before we begin...

Before we begin, we need to first answer the following question.

Do names matter to the Almighty?

If, from reading your Bible, you have come to see that names are very important to the Almighty, the first portion of this booklet will be a blessing to you.

We should consider...

If names are not that important why did the Almighty give special names to His people?

More importantly, why did the Almighty give a special Name to Himself!

And... what is that Name?

YahshuaMinistries.com 2 If we could go back in time...

If we could go back in time and ask the disciples, “Would you take us to see Jesus?” They would have gotten a puzzled look on their face and said, “Who?”

You see, the disciples never knew the Messiah by that name. They would have said, “Please come, we want you to meet Yahshua, the Messiah!”

The name Yahshua, is pronounced like “Joshua” with a “Y.” The emphasis remains with the Almighty’s name ‘Yah,’ in the first syllable.

The History of the name ‘Jesus’

For nearly fifteen hundred years after our Savior walked the earth, the world had never heard the name “Jesus.”

The name Jesus first appeared in the revision of 1769, 243 years ago as an anglicized transcription of the Latin name ‘Iesus’ (KJV of 1611) which is a of the Greek name ‘Ieousus.’

By 1769, our Saviors original Hebrew name, had been *transliterated three times, in three different languages:

*transliterate: to write or print (a letter or word) using the closest corresponding letters of a different alphabet or language.

YahshuaMinistries.com 3 • The first, from Hebrew to Greek. • The second, from Greek to Latin. • The third, from Latin to English.

In 1384, John Wycliffe translated the to English for the first time. His only source was the Latin . Wycliffe used the Latin spelling and pronunciation of Iesus.

The printing press had not yet been invented and only a few handwritten copies of Wycliffe's Bible were produced. In the 1450's, Gutenburg invented the printing press. Then, in 1526 translated the New Testament into the English language from the Latin Vulgate, along with the additional help of some ancient Greek manuscripts. Tyndale wanted the Bible translated into the language of the common people and many copies of his translation were printed with the help of the printing press. Tyndale was the first to use the letter ‘J’ in the spelling of the name Jesus. There was no letter ‘J’ in any language, prior to the fourteenth century in England. The letter did not become widely used until the Seventeenth century. This new spelling soon became pronounced by the people as “Jee-zuz.”

There was no letter ‘J’ in the original 1611 version of the King James Bible because it did not exist. James was spelled Iames. Jesus was spelled Iesus.

The letter ‘J’ was first used in the 1769 version of the King James Bible.*

* Perhaps the biggest difference between the 1611 and 1769 versions of the King James Bible is spelling. For instance, there was no letter "J" in 1611 so "Jesus" was spelled "Iesus." TheKJVstore.com

YahshuaMinistries.com 4 Another error... Yahshua, changed to Yeshua

There is another error that must be addressed when discussing our Saviors name. Some have mistranslated our Savior’s name, changing it from Yahshua, to ‘Yeshua’.

The error of changing Yah to ‘Ye’ is due to the manmade tradition of the Jewish priests. Their reverence for the holy name caused them to believe that it was too sacred to pronounce.

To prevent the pronunciation of the name Yahshua, the priests changed the vowel points from an ‘a’ to an ‘e’ in the Tetragrammaton YHWH, and omitted the letter ‘H’ altogether, resulting in ‘Ye’.

Thus, the name ‘Yeshua’ removes the Almighty Father’s name YAH and His role as Savior completely!

Scripture tells us we have only one Savior… the Father Himself.

‘I, even I, am the LORD, (Yahweh) and apart from Me there is NO Savior.

Isaiah 43:11

Scripture tells us the Father’s name is YAH, not Ye.

Look at the following scriptures declaring the Father’s name is YAH: (YAH - Strong’s H3050)

YahshuaMinistries.com 5 Exodus 15:2; Exodus 17:16; Psalm 68:4,18; Psalm 77:11; Psalm 89:8; Palm 94:7, 12; Psalm 102:18; Psalm 104:35; Psalm 105:45; Psalm 106:1, 48; Psalm 111:1; Psalm 112:1; Psalm113:1; Psalm 113:9; Psalm 115:17, 18; Psalm 116:19; Psalm 117:2; Psalm 118:5, 14, 17, 18, 19; Psalm 122:4; Psalm 130:3; Psalm135:1, 3, 4, 21; Psalm 146:1, 10; Psalm 147:1, 20; Psalm 148:1, 14; Psalm 149: 1, 9; Psalm 150:1, 6; Isaiah 12: 2; Isaiah 26:4; Isaiah 38:11; and we clearly see the Almighty's name is YAH in Revelation 19:1-6, as the multitudes praise Him saying, Halleluyah! Which means, “Praise YAH, you people.”

King David tells us plainly in Psalm 68:4 that the Almighty’s name is YAH. David writes:

“Sing to God, sing praises to His name; Extol Him who rides on the clouds, By His name YAH, and rejoice before Him.”

Our Savior Himself tells us plainly His name is Yahshua, not Yeshua.

…keep them in Your name, the name which You have given Me… John 17:11 NASU

We know from scripture the Fathers name is YAH, not Ye. Because the Almighty’s name is YAH, the name ‘Yeshua’ is not only incorrect, it eliminates the Almighty’s name altogether!

Yahshua, is the correct name of the Almighty, our Savior.

YahshuaMinistries.com 6 The Almighty’s name is YAH in the … but does the Almighty, as Savior, still have the name YAH in the New Testament?

YES!

In the Old Testament, when you see YHWH (YAH-WEH) or LORD; it is proclaiming the Almighty’s name YAH, which is followed by a ‘descriptor’. The descriptor is the word ‘WEH’, which means, “The Self-Existent one” (I AM). So, the name YAHWEH means, ‘YAH - The Self-Existent one’ (I AM).

The Almighty proclaims His name to us in the New Testament and notice… He does not permit anyone… to give Him a different name. (Matthew 1:21; Luke 2:21)

“and you shall call His name Yahshua”

YAH, waited to give us His highest name in the New Testament!

Now, YAH combines His name with His highest ‘descriptor’!

What is His highest descriptor?

It is the word ‘SHUA’, which means “is ”. When you combine the Almighty’s name YAH, with the word SHUA, it means, “YAH is salvation”!

The Father… the Almighty, proclaims His name as Savior!

This is why the name Yahshua, is the name above all names!

YahshuaMinistries.com 7 How do you say Netanyahu in English?

• How do you say, “Chevrolet” in Japanese?

• How do you say, “Coca-Cola” in Russian?

• How do you say, “Yamaha” or “Mitsubishi” in English?

Have you noticed, proper names do not change sounds when moving from language to language. There may be some inflection here and there, but the name itself should be recognizable no matter what language you are speaking.

Listen carefully when people speak in a foreign language. No matter what language they are speaking, even if you don’t speak that language, you will be able to distinguish the proper names they say. It has nothing to do with what language you speak.

We say the names of people from foreign lands all the time without feeling the need to first change them into ‘our’ language.

People all over the world say the following names: Vladimir Putin, Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, Mao Zedong, and Che Guevara, without changing them.

Why is it the Hebrew names from scripture need to be changed?

Examples: Yahshua... has been changed to Jesus Miryam... has been changed to Mary Yochanan... has been changed to John Yaakov... has been changed to James

YahshuaMinistries.com 8 Could this have been Intentional?

Scripture tell us,

There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” Acts 4:12

Can you think of anyone, who from the beginning, has tried to alter, obfuscate and eliminate this name from both sight and sound?

We must remember that when the “priests” and “Sadducees” commanded the Apostles not to speak in the name of our Savior, they were talking about our Savior’s real name...Yahshua!

Scripture tells us YAH chose this name for Himself. He did not anyone to choose another name for Him. (Matthew 1:21; Luke 2:21)

The name He chose was Yahshua, which means, “YAH is salvation.”

When a person believes in the name Yahshua, he is believing what that name means - that YAH, the Almighty Father is the Savior in human form.

Who is Yahshua?

He is YAH, our Savior!

YahshuaMinistries.com 9 The Almighty’s true name…

The Almighty’s true name, Yahshua, has been transliterated, changed and seemingly forgotten over the centuries.

As amazing as it sounds, the name ‘Jesus’ has been in existence for only the last four hundred years. No one on earth, born before the 17th century, had ever spoken or heard the name ‘Jesus’. The reason simply being this name did not exist before that time.

Yahshua has blessed us however, because of our love and faith in Him! He allowed us to grow spiritually through the names that people have known Him by over the years. Names such as Iesus, and Jesus have been a blessing to us who used them because we have not previously known His real name.

What now are we to do with our new given knowledge?

I’m reminded of a time I mistakingly called someone I had met by a name not their own. This person very politely told me what their name actually was (I guess all of us desire to be called by our real name). Anyway, from that moment on I always called him by his true name.

And the LORD shall be King over all the earth. In that day it shall be— “The LORD is one,” And His name one.

YahshuaMinistries.com 10 Things to Think About Before We Begin...

• Was Moses a Trinitarian?

• When the Israelites prayed or heard the words,

“Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one," Don't you think they were expected to understand these words?

• If the Almighty was aware that his choice of language and imagery would lead generations of people to believe that He is one person, when He was not one person, wouldn't that make Him a deceiver?

• When the Almighty manifested Himself in the flesh on earth (1 Timothy 3:16), did He ever teach the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone?

• Did Paul, who wrote two thirds of the books in the New Testament, ever teach the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone... ever?

• Did any prophet in the Old Testament, ever teach the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone…ever?

• Has anyone, in the entire Bible, from its beginning to its end, ever taught the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone?

• If the doctrine of the Trinity is so fundamental to , as Trinitarians claim, why is there a complete failure on the part of Yahshua, the prophets or apostles to articulate it anywhere?

God is not a God of confusion … 1 Corinthians 14:33

YahshuaMinistries.com 11 Who saved His people out of the land of Egypt?

The Old Testament writers tell us this…

Exodus 13:18 So God led the people around by way of the wilderness of the Red Sea. And the children of Israel went up in orderly ranks out of the land of Egypt.

Numbers 21:5 And the people spoke against God and Moses: “Why have you brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? For there is no food and no water, and our soul loathes this worthless bread.”

Deuteronomy 1:31 ‘and in the wilderness where you saw how the LORD your God carried you, as a man carries his son, in all the way that you went until you came to this place.’

Deuteronomy 2:7 “For the LORD your God has blessed you in all the work of your hand. He knows your trudging through this great wilderness. These forty years the LORD your God has been with you; you have lacked nothing.”

YahshuaMinistries.com 12 Acts 13:17 The God of this people Israel chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they dwelt as strangers in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm He brought them out of it.

Psalm 106:21 They forgot God their savior, which had done great things in Egypt;

Hosea 13:4 I have been the Lord your God ever since I brought you out of Egypt. You must acknowledge no God but me, for there is no other savior.

The New Testament writers tell us this…

Jude 1:5 NLT (New Living Translation)

So I want to remind you, though you already know these things, that Jesus (Yahshua) first rescued the nation of Israel from Egypt, but later he destroyed those who did not remain faithful.

YahshuaMinistries.com 13 Jude 1:5 ESV (English Standard Version)

Now I want to remind you, although you once fully knew it, that Jesus (Yahshua), who saved a people out of the land of Egypt, afterward destroyed those who did not believe.

Jude 1:5 NET (New English Translation)

Now I desire to remind you (even though you have been fully informed of these facts once for all) that Jesus (Yahshua), having saved the people out of the land of Egypt, later destroyed those who did not believe.

1 Corinthians 10:1-4 I don’t want you to forget, dear brothers and sisters, about our ancestors in the wilderness long ago. All of them were guided by a cloud that moved ahead of them, and all of them walked through the sea on dry ground. In the cloud and in the sea, all of them were baptized as followers of Moses. All of them ate the same spiritual food, and all of them drank the same spiritual water. For they drank from the spiritual rock that traveled with them, and that rock was Christ. Yet God was not pleased with most of them, and their bodies were scattered in the wilderness.

see “Rock” - Deuteronomy 32:4, 15, 18, 30-31, 37

YahshuaMinistries.com 14 This Rock was specifically referred to in the Old Testament:

"And they remembered that God was their rock, And the Most High God their Redeemer."

Psalm 78:35

Hebrews 11:25-26

He chose to share the oppression of God’s people instead of enjoying the fleeting pleasures of sin. He thought it was better to suffer for the sake of Christ (Yahshua) than to own the treasures of Egypt, for he was looking ahead to his great reward.

John 5:45-47

“Yet it isn’t I who will accuse you before the Father. Moses will accuse you! Yes, Moses, in whom you put your hopes. If you really believed Moses, you would believe me, because he wrote about me. But since you don’t believe what he wrote, how will you believe what I say?”

The New testament writers clearly knew that Yahshua was the Almighty of the Old Testament.

YahshuaMinistries.com 15 Moses said what?

After meeting, talking and being trained by the Almighty, Moses said this...

“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one! The LORD is ONE. “You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your strength. “And these words which I command you today shall be in your heart. “You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, when you walk by the way, when you lie down, and when you rise up.

Deuteronomy 6:4-7

Moses, who walked and talked with the Almighty for over 40 years said...

“The LORD our God is one LORD.”

From the beginning, Moses' taught clearly, boldly and without confusion, “The Lord is One.” Furthermore, he told us to teach this message to our children. Moses, told us to discuss this message with our families and friends. He told us to speak of this message throughout the days of our lives!

The Early Church, like Moses, worshipped the ‘One’ Almighty and not ‘three persons.’

YahshuaMinistries.com 16 The disciples attributed titles of the Father to Yahshua!

All the saints and all the preachers in the first century Church understood who Yahshua was and who He claimed to be. They understood that Yahshua claimed to be the Almighty, the Father come down from heaven in the body of a man.

The apostle John referred to Yahshua as the “the first and the last” (Revelation 1:17; 2:8; 22:13); “the true light” (John 1:9); the “bridegroom” (Revelation 21:2; “Savior of the world” (John 4:42; cf. Isaiah 43:3-11). He also attributed to Yahshua the role of “Redeemer” in Revelation 5:9.

The apostle Peter called Yahshua the “rock” and “stone” (1 Peter 2:6-8; cf. Psalms 18:2; 95:1; and “the Chief Shepherd” (1 Peter 5:4).

The apostle Paul referred to Yahshua as the “rock” (1 Corinthians 10:4) and the “bridegroom” (Ephesians 5:22-33).

The Old Testament role of ‘Redeemer’ (Hosea 13:14; Psalms 130:7) is given to Yahshua, by Paul in Titus 2:13-14.

Yahshua, is the forgiver of sins in Colossians 3:13 and He is “Christ Jesus, who will judge the living and the dead.” (2 Timothy 4:1)

YahshuaMinistries.com 17 What is so special about these titles?

All of these titles are unique to the Father in the Old Testament but are given to Yahshua in the New Testament!

The disciples were steeped in the Old Testament and would have only applied these titles with great care. If they did not think Yahshua, the Messiah was the Father manifested in flesh, they would have never used these words to describe him.

The disciples considered Yahshua, the Messiah to be God the Father who came in the flesh.

The New Testament opens with a passage concluding that Yahshua, is Immanuel (“God with us”), which refers to the messianic prediction of Isaiah 7:14. The very title “Christ” carries the same meaning as the Hebrew appellation “Messiah” (“Anointed One”).

In Zechariah 12:10, Yah says,

“They will look on me, the one they have pierced.”

The New Testament writers apply this passage to Yahshua twice (John 19:37; Revelation 1:7) as referring to His crucifixion.

YahshuaMinistries.com 18 Paul’s view of Yahshua

Paul interprets Isaiah’s message,

“For I am God, and there is no other.… Before me every knee will bow; by me every tongue will swear” Isaiah 45:22-23 as applying to his Lord, writing...

“at the name of Jesus every knee should bow … and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.” Philippians 2:10-11

The implications of this are strong, because Paul says that all created beings will call Yahshua, both Christ (Messiah) and Lord.

The disciples attributed the powers of the Almighty to Yahshua.

There are some things only the Almighty can do, but these very things are attributed to Yahshua by His disciples. He is said to be able to raise the dead (John 5:21; 11:38-44) and forgive sins (Acts 5:31; 13:38).

Moreover, He is said to have been the creator of the universe (John 1:2-3; Colossians 1:16) and in sustaining its existence (Colossians 1:17.

Surely only the Almighty can be said to be the Creator of all things, and the disciples claim this power for Yahshua!

YahshuaMinistries.com 19 The disciples associated Yahshua’s name with the Almighty

Here are some examples. Often in prayers, Yahshua’s name is used alongside the Father, as in,

“Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.” Galatians 1:3; Ephesians 1:2

Finally, the disciples called Yahshua, the Almighty.

The apostles John and Paul, and the writer of Hebrews. All three call Yahshua, the Almighty, in multiple ways.

First, from the writing of the apostle John who wrote that Thomas saw the Lord’s wounds and cried,

My Lord and my God!” John 20:28

Paul and the writer of Hebrews provide several more examples:

Paul wrote,

“Theirs are the patriarchs, and from them is traced the human ancestry of Christ, who is God over all, forever praised!”

Romans 9:5

YahshuaMinistries.com 20 He calls Yahshua the one in whom,

“all the fullness of Deity lives in bodily form” Colossians 2:9

In Titus 2:13, Yahshua is

“our great God and Savior”

And the writer to the Hebrews says of Him,

“Your throne, O God, will last for ever and ever.” Hebrews 1:8

In summary, there is manifold testimony from Yahshua Himself and from those who knew Him best, that Yahshua claimed to be the Father; and His followers believed this to be the case. They give to the carpenter of Nazareth these unique titles, powers, prerogatives and activities that apply only to the Father.

There is no reasonable doubt that this is what they believed and what Yahshua proclaimed of Himself according to the New Testament. (Mark 14: 62 NLT*)

* Footnote from the NLT - 14:62a Or The ‘I AM’ is here; or I am the LORD. See Exodus 3:14.

YahshuaMinistries.com 21 The early Church believed and preached this message well into the fourth Century

Ignatius, Bishop of Antioch

Ignatius of Antioch was called “the disciple of the Apostles.” Ignatius spoke of Yahshua in the Epistle of , chapter 1, verse 15, saying, “expect Him, who is above all time, eternal, invisible, though for our sakes made visible, impalpable [intangible], impassible [not capable of experiencing pain], yet for us, subject to sufferings, enduring all manner of ways for our salvation."

Ignatius depicted Yahshua, the Messiah as the suffering body of a bodiless Spirit-God who cannot suffer. Ignatius depicted Yahshua, the Messiah, as the Father dwelling in the body of a mortal man. (Ignatius was killed around 108 AD by the Roman Emperor Trajan – thrown to and eaten by lions.)

Polycarp of Smyrna

Polycarp of Smyrna (69-155 AD) was a disciple of the Apostle John. Polycarp endorsed Ignatius' teachings, calling him an example of holiness, and urged the Philippians to follow his example. MODALISM – Jesus is another MODE or FORM of the Father. Both Ignatius and Polycarp are called MODALISTS by historians - which was what later religious leaders called ONENESS BELIEVERS. Modalists did not believe that God was three persons. They believed that Yahshua was a MODE, or FORM, of God. They were clearly not Trinitarian.

YahshuaMinistries.com 22 Noetus

Another early Church father, named Noetus, who lived around 130 AD was also said to be a MODALIST - that is, ONE. In reality, God does not even have three modes. He is ONE Spirit, incarnate in the body of Yahshua. The historian Hippolytus said that Noetus believed that, “Yahshua, confessed Himself to be the SON to those who saw Him, while to those who could receive it He did not hide the fact that He was the Father.”

Irenaeus

Another early Church father, , who lived from about 135-200 AD, said, "The Father is that which is invisible about the Son, and the Son is that which is visible about the Father. The Father is God revealing Himself, and the SON is God revealed."

Praxeus

Tertullian (who was arguably the first Trinitarian) complained that Praxeus in 150-200 AD asserted that, “Jesus, the Messiah is God and Father Almighty.”

Sabellius

In 180 AD, Sabellius taught that, “Father, Son and Holy Spirit were NOT distinct persons, but modes of one divine person. Oneness Apostolics, “Constitute the majority of believers.”

YahshuaMinistries.com 23 Zephyrinus

Zephyrinus, the Bishop of Rome in 210 AD, said, “I know ONE GOD, Christ Jesus, ...beside Him I know no other.”

Callistus

Callistus, the Bishop of Rome in 220 AD, said, “The Word is the Son Himself, the Father Himself; there is only one and the same INDIVISIBLE Spirit, ...The Father is not one and the Son another. They are ONE AND THE SAME."

Dionysius

In 265 AD, the Bishop of Rome was Dionysius. Dionysius complained about those who “divide and cut to pieces that most sacred doctrine of the Church of God, the Divine Monarchy, making it as if it were three powers and partitive substances and godheads three.” In other words, in 265 AD, the Bishop of Rome condemned the doctrine of the Trinity that was gaining acceptance.

By 325 AD, the Roman Caesar Constantine had stopped persecuting the Church and had begun to endorse the new Trinitarian version of God. In the organizational meeting of the Roman Catholic institution at the Council of Nicaea (Italy), the NICAEAN CREED WAS FORMULATED.

YahshuaMinistries.com 24 In 380, Marcellus of Ancyra, with Photinus (Marcellus’ disciple), and Priscillian still contended that the Christian faith is in: "Father, Son, and Spirit ... one God Christ: He is God, Son of God, Savior... In Christ, the Father is known."

Marcellus added, "God is invisible; none has seen Him at any time. So He came in name and form as such that He could make Himself known." He was of course referring to Yahshua, the Messiah.

Commodianus

In 400 AD, a Christian poet named Commodianus said that Father, Son and Holy Ghost are “different designations given to the same person.”

Peter Abelard

In 1121, , a French scholastic philosopher, theologian and preeminent logician, was known to be ONENESS. He was charged with by the of Soissons and shut up in the convent of St. Medard. Chambers Biographical Dictionary called Peter Abelard “the keenest thinker and boldest theologian of the 12th Century.”

Michael Servetus

In 1531, Michael Servetus published a paper entitled, "THE ERROR OF THE TRINITY," in which he expounded the doctrine of the Oneness of God. For that paper, he was burned at the stake. Servetus said, "Christ is in the Father as a voice from the

YahshuaMinistries.com 25 speaker. He and the Father are one, as the ray and the sun are one light. An amazing mystery is that God can thus be conjoined with man and man with God. A great wonder that He has taken to Himself the body of Christ that it should be His peculiar dwelling place."

Servetus also said, “[Christ] manifests God to us, being the expression of His very being, and through him alone, God can be known.”

John Calvin argued with Servetus by letters until their debate became quite heated. Calvin said that if Servetus ever came into his presence, he would be duty-bound to have him sentenced to death for blasphemy. also condemned Servetus’ Oneness doctrine.

Due in large part to ’s opposition, Servetus was sentenced to for denying the Trinity and infant baptism. But, many other writers and orators took up Servetus’ cause afterward, and Servetus’ Oneness teachings multiplied.

William Penn

In 1668, William Penn (the founder of Pennsylvania) was imprisoned in the Tower of London for writing a powerful anti- Trinitarian called, "The Sandy Foundation Shaken," in which he declared, "Must I deny His Divinity because I justly reject the Popish School Personality? It is manifest, then, ...that though I may deny the Trinity of separate persons in one Godhead, yet I do not consequentially deny the Deity of Jesus Christ."

William Penn also declared that the Roman Catholic institution was “the Whore of Babylon.” He was imprisoned for that writing.

YahshuaMinistries.com 26 Dr. Nathaniel Emmons

Around 1800, Dr. Nathaniel Emmons, a Yale graduate and the leading New England theologian of his time, taught that we should "cast aside the eternal generation of the Son," a doctrine that had originated with , and one of the earliest premises of Trinitarianism. Emmons believed that Father and Son were both terms referring to "the One Absolute God."

William Ellery Channing

In 1819, Channing said, “We object to the doctrine of the Trinity.” He impugned it as illogical and unscriptural because it implies that God is “three intelligent agents, possessed of different consciousness, different wills, and different perceptions, performing different acts, and sustaining different relations.

To us, as to the Apostle and the primitive Christians, "there is one God, even the Father. With Jesus, we worship the Father, as the only living and true God.”

Emmanuel Swedenborg

Swedenborg, around 1820 said, "He is the Redeemer and Savior. ...He came into the world. ...As to His humanity, He called Himself Jesus Christ. ...Jehovah Himself came into the world and became the Savior and Redeemer."

YahshuaMinistries.com 27 H.B. Smith

H.B. Smith (1875), a Presbyterian clergyman and teacher for 24 years said, "The one supreme personality exists in three personal modes of being, but is not three distinct persons."

Henry Ward Beecher

In 1880, Beecher said, "Jesus Christ is His name. All that there is of God is bound up in that name."

John Miller

In the 1880s, Miller wrote a book entitled, "Is God A Trinity?" He asked this question, "Is the deity that is in Christ the second person of the Trinity, or the one personal Jehovah?

...for the Trinitarian believes but in one of three persons in Christ, whereas we believe in the sole person of the Almighty."

YahshuaMinistries.com 28 So, How did the Trinitarian doctrine become so widely accepted?

Answer: The Roman Catholic institution

Justin Martyr - (AD 100–ca.165)

Justin Martyr was the first to teach the Trinity as consisting of God the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He was the first to proclaim the Holy Spirit as a member of the Trinity.

Irenaeus - first to conceptualize an "eternal son"

An understudy of Justin Martyr, Irenaeus (ca. 130-200 AD), added to the confusion when he stated that, "the Son of God became the Son of Man." This is probably the earliest seed of “Eternal Sonship,” an illogical and unbiblical premise.

This was a completely alien concept.

INSTEAD of Yahshua being the INCARNATION of the Father, He was purported to be the INCARNATION of an eternal Son. No one had ever taught this in the first 150 years of the early church.

None of the Apostles ever made a statement of that kind. Nobody believed that Yahshua was the incarnation of a second person. They believed that Yahshua was the incarnation of the Almighty, the Father Himself.

YahshuaMinistries.com 29 The (Unscriptural) - 325 AD, Produced the first official Trinitarian Doctrine

The ‘Nicene Creed’ is the original, official TRINITARIAN DOCTRINE - published for the first time in history in 325 AD.

The ‘Nicene Creed’ contained ‘ANATHEMAS’ (a formal ecclesiastical curse involving condemnation and excommunication) on anyone who did not profess the Doctrine of the Trinity and baptism using the titles Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

The Roman Catholic institution further declared that no one could be saved outside the Roman Catholic institution.

The (Unscriptural) Athanasian Creed

In the seventh century the ATHANASIAN CREED replaced the NICENE CREED. (712 of the most unscriptural words ever written)

Here are some excerpts:

“Whosoever will be saved, before all things it is necessary that he hold the catholic faith; Which faith except every one do keep whole and undefiled, without doubt he shall perish everlastingly. And the catholic faith is this: That we worship one God in Trinity, and Trinity in Unity;

5. For there is one person of the Father, another of the Son, and another of the Holy Spirit.

YahshuaMinistries.com 30 20. So are we forbidden by the catholic religion to say; There are three Gods or three Lords.

25. And in this Trinity none is afore or after another; none is greater or less than another.

26. But the whole three persons are co-eternal, and co-equal.

28. He therefore that will be saved must thus think of the Trinity.

44. This is the catholic faith, which except a man believe faithfully he cannot be saved.

This is the first creed in which the equality of the three persons of the Trinity is explicitly stated.

This creed differs from the Nicene-Constantinopolitan Creed in that it includes the condemnation and anathemas of those who disagree with the Creed.

The Athanasian Creed condemns all non-Trinitarian people.

Because of these ‘creeds,’ multitudes of people were tortured and put to death because they believed, “The Lord is One” … not three.

This fact alone should have ‘sounded the alarm’ in the Christian world concerning this doctrine!

YahshuaMinistries.com 31 It is biblically incorrect to speak of the Almighty as a ‘trinity,’ or ‘trio’ of persons.

“Persons,” in reference to the Almighty, is not in the Bible, it is not scriptural, nor is there a commandment to worship ‘three persons’.

The ‘Trinitarian’ doctrine should never be associated with the Christian faith. True Christians are strictly monotheistic. (Deuteronomy 6:4; Luke 2:11; Mark 12:29; Philippians 2:6, 10-11; Colossians 2:8-10)

How is it that, ‘Trinitarians’ will tell the Almighty that He is ‘three persons’ when He, Himself repeatedly tells us He is ONE?

Let’s do an experiment which will tell you immediately whether the is ‘three persons’ or one person. If you know your Bible, find a scripture anywhere in the Almighty’s Word where He refers to Himself as “three persons.”

Now, let me show you where the Yah has spoken of Himself as one Almighty, and one person (Deuteronomy 6:4; Job 13:7-8; Luke 2:11; 1 Corinthians 10:4; 2 Corinthians 5:19; Colossians 1:14-19; 2:9; Hebrews 1:3).

The Almighty is one person and He has revealed himself as one person in the face of Yahshua, the Messiah. (2 Corinthians 4:6) The New Testament will align itself perfectly with the beliefs of the Jewish people who believe in the one Almighty, as they were correctly taught in the Old Testament.

“God is not a God of confusion,” nor will He contradict Himself.

YahshuaMinistries.com 32 There are a number of faiths that consider Christianity to be a religion of idolators and infidels because they teach the Almighty is ‘three’ persons.

The ‘Trinity Doctrine’ was never part of the early church and is foreign to true Christianity and to Jewish people that believe in the one Almighty of heaven and earth.

My friend, again please prayerfully consider:

• Did Paul, who wrote two thirds of the books in the New Testament, ever teach the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone... ever?

• Did any prophet in the Old Testament, ever teach the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone...ever?

• Has anyone in the entire Bible, from its beginning to its end, ever taught the doctrine of ‘the Trinity’ to anyone?

• If the doctrine of the Trinity is so fundamental to Christianity, as Trinitarians claim, why is there a complete failure on the part of Yahshua, the prophets or apostles to articulate it anywhere?

And the people of Berea were more open-minded than those in Thessalonica, and they listened eagerly to Paul’s message. They searched the Scriptures day after day to see if Paul and Silas were teaching the truth.

Acts 17:11

YahshuaMinistries.com 33 Salvation is a gift for you!

Salvation is a gift that we receive by faith. We cannot earn it through our deeds or works. We cannot obtain it by being a “good person” or by attending church. Yahshua earned it for us by dying for our sins on the cross. Our salvation is a gift that’s been made available to everyone who calls upon the name of Yahshua.

Ephesians 2:8-9 says this:

“For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works, so that no one can boast.”

The Bible promises us that, “whoever calls on the name of the LORD shall be saved.” Joel 2:32; Romans 10:13

Acts 16:29-31 tells us that when the Philippian jailer cried out to Paul and Silas asking them, “What must I do to be saved?” They answered, “Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household.”

My friend, if you would like to make Yahshua the Lord of your life and receive His free gift of salvation, call upon Him now.

YahshuaMinistries.com 34 Here is a simple prayer that you can repeat for salvation:

“Yahshua, I realize that I am a sinner and am in need of Your forgiveness. I believe in my heart that You died on the cross for my sins. I ask You to forgive me of my sins and I invite You into my heart to be my Lord and Savior. I receive You right now by faith and I confess You as Lord of my life. Thank You for my salvation. Amen.”

If you just prayed this prayer, congratulations! You are saved and you are a new creation in Christ!

“If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!” 2 Corinthians 5:17

YahshuaMinistries.com 35 Yahshua Ministries - What I Believe

1. YAH The Almighty Father’s name in the Old Testament YAH - Psalm 68:4; Isaiah 12:2; Isaiah 26:4; Revelation 19:1, 3, 4, 6 (see page 5). YAH-WEH means, ‘YAH - The Self-Existent one’ (I AM). I believe in a strict Monotheism. I do not believe the Almighty is ‘three persons.’ I believe the Almighty is numerically one.

2. YAHSHUA The Almighty Father’s highest name revealed - New Testament Yahshua is the name above every name! Yahshua literally means, ‘YAH is Salvation’.

3. The Bible

I believe the Bible to be the inspired word of Yahshua and to be free from error in the original manuscripts when all grammatical, historical, literary and cultural issues have been considered. I believe the Bible is the only Yahshua-given authority which man possesses; therefore, all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be based upon and harmonize with the Bible.

4. Yahshua, the Messiah

I believe the Almighty Father of the Old Testament, became a man in the person of Yahshua, the Messiah. I believe the name Yahshua, meaning ‘Yah is salvation,’ is the Name above all names. Yahshua, is both fully the Almighty and fully man. He is the visible image of the Almighty Father. Yahshua’s deity is none other than that of the Father. As it pertains to His humanity, Yahshua was born of a virgin in time.

YahshuaMinistries.com 36 5. The Holy Spirit

I believe that the Holy Spirit is none other than the Spirit of Yahshua Himself.

6. Salvation

Salvation is a gift that we receive by faith. We cannot earn it through our deeds or works. We cannot obtain it by being a “good person” or by attending church. Yahshua (“God manifested in the flesh” 1 Timothy 3:16) earned it for us through His death, burial and resurrection. It’s a gift that’s been made available to everyone who calls upon the name of Yahshua.

7. The Second Coming

I believe that Yahshua died for our sins, was resurrected and ascended into heaven where he presently reigns. I also believe in a literal, bodily return of Yahshua after a time of Great Tribulation, both to claim his bride and to execute judgment on an unbelieving world.

8. Final Judgment

I believe there is coming a time when all who ever lived will stand before Yahshua to be judged and that all who are not saved will be cast into the lake of fire. I believe this judgment to be literal and eternal.
