(2) If Government approval for the project, as a result of the ESE Review, does not result in certainty over the project’s final approval to proceed on Barrow Island, can the Premier indicate whether the Government would introduce legislation to allow Parliament to deliver such certainty? (3) If not, why not? Hon KIM CHANCE replied: (1)-(3) As I said in response to Questions Without Notice 1209 and 1222, the project remains subject to environmental approval at State and Commonwealth levels.
