Date: 3 April 2015 The Maserati Alfieri concept car and Quattroporte star at the Seoul Motor Show The Alfieri concept car gets its premiere, alongside the launch of the Quattroporte with 350 HP V6 Twin Turbo engine, at the Korean show. The year’s most important Motor Show opened yesterday in Seoul - capital of South Korea - with Maserati displaying its current range and a look ahead to the future. The star of “today”, and a local new product, is the Maserati Quattroporte equipped with the 350 HP V6 Twin Turbo engine specifically developed for the Korean market; the future - in stylistic terms and cynosure of all eyes - was the Korean premiere appearance of the Maserati Alfieri, recent winner of the “Concept Car of the Year 2014” award. A product innovation for the local market, the Quattroporte presented is fitted with the sophisticated 350 HP V6 Twin Turbo, and it provides the most accessible petrol-engine variant in the Maserati limousine range. This rear-wheel drive version delivers very impressive performance: top speed of 267 km/h; 0-100 km/h in 5.6 seconds and the 8-speed automatic transmission common to all Maserati sedans. The top of the range on view on the stand is the most powerful Quattroporte, the rear-wheel drive GTS equipped with the mighty 530 HP V8 Twin Turbo engine, which gives the car a top speed of 307 km/h and lets it surge from 100 km/h in only 4.7 seconds. The Ghibli - Maserati’s first E-segment executive sedan - is in attendance in two versions: rear- wheel drive with the high-performing 275 HP V6 Diesel engine, and S Q4 system all-wheel drive with the 410 HP V6 Twin Turbo propulsion unit. The Q4 system is central to the car’s sporty performance, enabling it to transfer all its power firmly to the ground, spring from 0-100 km/h in just 4.8 seconds and adapt effortlessly to all kinds of road surface. Maserati’s racing pedigree is fittingly reflected by its most powerful coupé: the GranTurismo MC Stradale Centennial Edition - with 4.7 litre, 460 HP naturally aspirated V8 engine - outstanding not only in its excellent handling and six-speed electro-actuated transmission, but also in its exceptionally comfortable interior and its ability to accommodate four adults in comfort. Alongside it, harbinger of summer, a GranCabrio Sport, a four-seater convertible version, with the same engine as the GranTurismo MC Stradale but a 6-speed automatic transmission..
