The men's team also won five gold medals, four silver medals, and one bronze medal in the FIBA Asia Championships; and bronze medal in the 2014 FIBA Asia Cup. The Philippines also actively participated and had significant achievements in the 2014 FIBA World Cup, several FIBA World Championships, Olympics Basketball Tournaments, and the FIBA Asia Championships since its affiliation in 1936; WHEREAS, the Philippines also won gold, silver and bronze medals in other prestigious international basketball games which include Asian Games, SEABA Championship, SEABA Cup, Far Eastern Championship and Southeast Asian Championship Games, among others; WHEREAS, the Philippines is 31 st in the FIBA World Ranking For Men after the 2014 FIBA Basketball World Cup and 5th in the FIBA Asia Ranking.
