Abstract The The present study was conducted in the Sargodha district, Punjab, to underline indigenous knowledge of wild edible fruits as for therapeutic use by the local inhabitants. Folklore traditions with respect to curative flora were gathered through meetings and surveys from key informants including local residents, shepherds, herders, ranchers, traditional healers and herbalists. Rural vicinities were engaged to investigate reliable clients of wild edible fruits. Such studies not just assume a significant role in saving the native medica-ethnobotanical information yet in addition help to update the social status and economic values of the indigenous communities that consequently preserve the global heritage. 27 fruit species belonging to 15 families were recorded in the territory. All the plants were extremely compelling against various diseases and native to the area. The data about their botanical names, local names, families, part used, method of use and used for, all were recorded. The fruits and other plant samples of the investigated plants were collected, identified, preserved and deposited in the Herbarium of University of Sargodha (SARGU) for future references. -

SHORT TENDER NOTICE Sealed tenders based on item market rates schedule of the MRS 1 st Bi-Annual 2020 (1 st January2020 to 30 th June 2020) District Mianwali are hereby invited for the works mentioned below from the eligible Contractors/Firms enlisted/renewed for the year 2019-20 with Public Health Engineering Department as well as registered with Punjab Revenue Authority (PRA). Tender request should be accompanied with Original Enlistment Letter/up to date Renewal letter, Fee Receipt, P.E.C License for 2019-20 and copy of C.N.I.C. Authority letter on Original pad Form of the Contractor/ Firm along with registered partnership deed, attested power of Attorney on stamp paper along with prescribed tender fee . The tender/bidding documents are available and will be issued by the Divisional Head Clerk of this office upto 22-07-2020 during the office hours on production of paid 32-A Challan form of tender fee deposited in National Bank of Pakistan Mianwali paid on or before 21-07-2020. Tender rates and amounts should be filled in figures as well as in words. Tender should be signed as per general direction given in the tender documents. Tender will be received in the office of Commissioner Sargodha Division Sargodha up to 02:00 PM on the date of receiving of tenders and will be opened after 30 minutes by the Tender Committee in the presence of intending contractors or their representatives. RMC LAHORE QUARTERLY BULLETIN Vol. 1, Issue.3, 2019 Preface The basic objective of this publication is to highlight the quarterly activities carried out at Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) Lahore. RMC is part of Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) headed by the Director, responsible for administrative, financial and technical control of all units of PMD in Punjab and Azad Jammu & Kashmir region. The region is very important and vulnerable for all-natural disasters due to its geographical & geological features. The socio-economic activities in this region are heavily depended on meteorological parameters. All the meteorological parameters which are recorded at different units of PMD are then computerized at Regional Climate Data Processing Section at RMC after quality checks for the public, researchers, developers, economists, government and private agencies for the development, land reforms, agricultural sector, urban planning and all fields of life. In meteorology, the human skill development is very important for accurate weather parameter reporting. This can be achieved by developing a healthy, hygienic and up to date environment to all staff at all units which has been insured at all units. I acknowledge the efforts of all the officers & officials at respective stations and units for their contribution to maintain the observation up to the mark of World Meteorological Organization (WMO) standards. It is the result of this same spirit that our officials have come up with a new innovation in the techniques for the better data processing and handling. Hence, upgrading the system for a bright and better future of Pakistan in the field of meteorology.
