1.1 BACKGROUND

A. The existing Beto substation has one operating 1OMVA 138kV/25kV transformer and one spare 10MVA 138kV/25kV transformer currently stored de-energized on-site at the substation. The spare unit has been stored outside, without cover for approximately 10 years and has undergone minimal maintenance during that time. As such, there may be need for maintenance and/or repairs in order to make the unit testable.
