After missing the magazine for thirty or so years, it is wonderful to have so much collected I never saw. Even as a consistent reader in the 70s and 80s, Id only seen one of these articles before. The book is beautifully put together. One of the many pleasant surprises were bunches of quotes from artists about their experience with the magazine. So packed with such quality it feels like its much more than its 272 pages. I have mixed feelings that theres no index. If there had been, I wouldnt have been forced to read it straight through which Im glad that I did. I also have mixed feelings about the lack of captions for the pictures. Yes, I want to know who every person is but the pretentious kid in me responds, If you dont know who they are, you dont deserve to know. I wont say I wish there was more behind the scenes, documentary, historical type stuff because the book it is is perfect. I will say I cant wait for that book to be written and released.
