The plot gallops from misadventure to misadventure, dodging monsters, eluding the Furies, and trying to figure out who killed Zeus. Will everything work out the way it is supposed to in the end? You cannot stand against the Erinyes! In fact, I am now going to see if I have been looking for other authors to fill the void when Christopher Moore does not have a new book out. For me, thinking about it more, it was not routed enough in any kind of reality. What I felt weak in some descriptive imagery, the book made up for in creative narration and character interactions. Michael has traveled to three continents, and has an interest in Celtic and Classical mythology. An overachiever with a bursting portfolio of godly duties, the amount of email alone he receives from rapacious mortals turns each day into a living hell.
