The purpose of this study is to evaluate the ability of rehabilitative therapy to decrease the symptoms, and improve the quality of life of Gulf War Veterans, who suffer from Gulf War Illness. Cocktail hour will start at 5:00 P.M., Dinner at 6:00 P.M., and installation at 7:00 P.M. If you wish to attend the ceremonies you are asked to sign the list located at the canteen bar. It is important that you sign up to allow us to inform the caterer how many to expect for dinner. GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING CHANGE: Officers and members of Clinton Post 259, “Our June meeting has been changed from Monday, June 23, 2014 to Tuesday, June 24, 2014.” MEMORIAL DAY CEREMONY: The Memorial Day Ceremony was well attended. The lunch prepared by our house manager Diane Miller, was excellent, and enjoyed by all. I would like to wholeheartedly thank her for her efforts. Our guest speaker, Dr. Vincent L. Moss gave an outstanding presentation. A.N.E.C. Ed White addressed the Post with a very informative speech containing a wealth of knowledge. Al Elmond and Bob Levendusky were the post 259 volunteers with much appreciated help from Mr. and Mrs. Chuck Whitworth and volunteer Joan Vogel. Thanks to the Auxiliary for providing the snacks for the evening. The next BINGO will be 11 June 2014. The World War II Honor Flight arrived from Huntington, West Virginia. County Christmas-In-April program. We built a 57 foot long handicap ramp, installed two sets of flood lights for the ramp, re-leveled the pavers at the back door landing & performed house cleaning. We had a total of 14 volunteers with a total of 148 volunteer man hours performing the tasks for the home owner. The necessary funding for this project came from donations by organizations, businesses and individual. These donations were used to purchase the material for the Christmas-In-April house # 32, food and beverages for all the volunteers. The material cost for this project came to approximately $1293.00. A big “thank you” goes to the following for a wonderful job that they did while representing P. G. County Christmas-In-April program &The American Legion.
