Governor Enrollments Soar at Maryland’s Colleges and Universities The following report highlights preliminary enrollment data submitted for fall 2010 by the State’s colleges and universities. Final enrollment figures which are reported later in the term may vary slightly from those included in this report. Opening Enrollment at Maryland Colleges and Universities, 1990 - 2010 This year’s headcount enrollments set 340,000 a new record high for the State’s postsecondary institutions. Total headcount enrollment at Maryland’s 320,000 colleges and universities increased by 3.6 percent to 368,126 students, a gain of 300,000 12,818 students since last year. Over the last 20 years, total enrollment 280,000 in Maryland’s degree-granting postsecondary institutions has grown by 260,000 nearly 42 percent, or over 100,000 students. 240,000 Maryland’s independent colleges and 1990 1992 1994 1996 1998 2 2002 2004 2006 2008 2010 universities experienced the largest 000 percentile gains of any higher education sector. An estimated 25% of all reported SARS-CoV-2 sequences nationwide are the Delta variant, and in some regions of the country, the variant accounts for nearly one in two sequences. Source To date, Maryland has reported 6,882,339 vaccinations, and 74.8% of adults have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine. Maryland has fully vaccinated 56.1% of its population, which ranks sixth in the nation, according to the CDC. Overall, the state is reporting 97 COVID-19 hospitalizations— including an ICU total of 31. he statewide case rate is 1.00 per 100K, and overall, 13 of the state’s jurisdictions are reporting case rates in the green zone.     Maryland State Board of Elections Prince George’s County - Ballot Drop Off Locations for the 2020 Presidential General Election You can return your ballot by mail or you can drop off your completed, voted ballot at a drop box location in Prince George’s County. Simply place your completed ballot in the return envelope, sign the oath on the envelope, seal the return envelope and take it to a drop off box in the county. Ballot drop off boxes will be delivered at different times. The drop boxes will be available through Tuesday, November 3rd. Your ballot must be dropped off by 8 pm on Tuesday, November 3rd. Please make sure your oath is signed on the return envelope or the ballot will not count. Ballot drop off boxes are monitored and secured by trusted election officials.
