1) GENERAL CRITERIA 1.1 University of Gujrat (UOG) Online admissions for all Undergraduate degree programs given in the Annexure-I shall be processed against the advertisement in print and electronic media under Semester System on Open Merit and Reserved Quotas as given in Annexure-II. 1.2 The applicant shall create an account in the UOG admission portal using his/her own computerized Nation Identification Number (CNIC) or NADRA B-Form number. 1.3 The eligible applicants (Male / Female / Transgender) can apply without any discrimination for admission at Hafiz Hayat, GT Road and Mandi Bahauddin Campuses; whereas, UOG city campuses (Fawara Chowk Marghzar Colony and Railway Road are only for female applicants. 1.4 Unless mentioned in Annexure-II, the reserved seats are only for the Morning Degree Programs offered at all Campuses of Gujrat and Sub-Campus, Mandi Bahauddin. 1.5 Only Online complete application(s) along with uploaded following compulsory documents shall be processed: a) Unless mentioned; otherwise, Bank electronic transaction receipt for admission application processing charges. b) Candidate’s passport size photograph (with blue background and up to 300 x 350 pixels; JPG file). c) Matriculation or Equivalent Certificate/DMC issued by respective Board at the time of application whereas; after declaration of Board results the Intermediate or Equivalent Certificate / DMC issued by respective Board shall have to be uploaded by the candidate. Whereas; the applicants of the BBA (two Years Program) shall upload the terminal degree. d) In case of any discrepancy, fake documentation or concealment of facts, the admission shall be cancelled at any stage of the degree. e) The applicants applying for reserved seats must upload all relevant documents mentioned in the attached Annexure-II; otherwise, the application shall not be processed. 1.6 Considering eligibility, a candidate may apply for more than one degree programs.

1.7 The submitted application(s) shall be acknowledged by the UOG through a text message on the applicant’s given cell number. 1.8 The candidates may also check the submitted application(s) acceptance status after three working days of the submission through his / her created UOG admission account. 1.9 Department wise/degree wise lists of applicants shall be displayed on UOG admission portal (https://uog.edu.pk) after the closing date of the admissions. The lists shall be generated as per received applications. Thus, SHALL NOT BE CONSIDERED AS MERIT LIST. 1.10 In case of any ambiguity in the above uploaded lists the candidate(s) (if any) may contact department concerned through email at least two days prior to the display of the first merit list; otherwise, no claim shall be accepted after the notification / display of the first Merit List. 1.11 The admission calendar for Fall-2021 is given in Annexure-III below 1.12 The change of subject within stipulated time shall only be allowed to the applicants who have already applied for the desired degree program(s) with the approval of respective Deans / HODs subject to the availability of seats and eligibility. 1.13 Semester dues shall be refunded (if requested) within stipulated time as per UOG policy / rules which are available at UOG admission portal (https:/uog.edu.pk). 1.14 Considering government SOPs for COVID-19, the University shall not establish Admission Facilitation Centers this year. 1.17 All the selected candidates mentioned in any merit lists shall appear before the respective Departmental Admission Committee along with all credentials (in original), CNIC / B-Form, two passport size fresh photograph with blue background and two sets of attested copies of all credentials placed in an ordinary paper folder within stipulated time before the notification / display of the next merit list to get bank Challan for the semester fee / dues and securing of admission. However, the Govt. of Punjab SOPs for COVID-19 shall strictly be followed. No applicant without mask, gloves and sanitizator shall be allowed to enter in UOG. Only one parent / guardian shall be allowed. The parent/guardian shall stay outside department office. 1.18 Unless mentioned, the admission dues / fee shall be deposited during the stipulated period in the designated branches of the banks at Hafiz Hayat Campus, University of Gujrat (ONLY) and a copy of same shall have to be deposited in the department concerned for semester registration. The referred dues / fee shall not be deposited in any other bank. 1.19 In case the semester fee / dues are not deposited within stipulated time the admission offer shall stand cancelled. 1.20 Subject to the availability, hostel facility shall be provided to the candidates having domicile other than District Gujrat. 1.21 A candidate shall have to pay non-refundable Rs 500/- as admission processing charges within the stipulated time as mentioned in the admission calendar for a degree program. 1.22 Equivalence Certificate of “A” Levels or Intermediate Certificate awarded by the foreign institutions issued by the Inter Board Committee of Chairman (IBCC) is mandatory at the time of registration. 1.23 In case the candidate(s) has 14 year education other than UOG, the UOG approved policy for the conversion of marks into CGPA shall be applied. 1.24 The applicant’s upper age limit shall be 25 years at the admission closing date. No further age relaxation is permissible. 1.25 UOG employees shall apply for the Employment Certificate on the template uploaded on admission portal (https://uog.edu.pk) to the Registrar University of Gujrat on email “[email protected]”. Accordingly, the quarter concerned

shall provide the same to the applicant through his/her email with a copy to the Admission Committee within two working days of the receipt. 1.26 Considering minimum required number of students per Section and the departmental resources the University reserves the right for not offering any degree program(s). 1.27 Considering above Para if a degree program is not offered. The deposited semester dues shall be refunded as per UOG policy / rules. 1.28 Unless mentioned other than degrees accredited with the HEC recognized Councils, the number of students in a section shall be within the range of (50-70) students. 1.29 The B.Arch, B.Ed (Hons), BSc Engineering, LLB (Hons), BS-Computer Science, BS-Information Technology and BS-Software Engineering degree programs are accredited with the HEC recognized Councils. Thus, the respective councils approved number of seats and Sections shall strictly be followed. a) The BSc Engineering degrees are accredited with the Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC). b) The LLB (Hons) is accredited with the Pakistan Bar Council (PBC). c) The BS-Computer Science, BS-Information Technology and BS-Software Engineering offered at University of Gujrat are accredited with the National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC). d) The B.Arch is accredited with PCATP. e) The B.Ed (Hons) are accredited with National Accreditation Council for Teacher Education ( NACTE) 1.30 Unless mentioned the applicants having 3-years relevant Associate Diploma (DAE) duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) shall apply against reserved quota in the relevant morning programs; whereas, they may apply against open merit in relevant Evening Programs. 1.31 The details of the Undergraduate degree programs offered for Fall-2021 and the respective eligibility criteria is given in the attached Annexure-I.

The Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks in the Intermediate or Equivalent and relevant DAE.

NOTE:  The Applicants with Pre-Medical or Science Group without Mathematics shall cover deficiency courses of Mathematics of 6 Credit Hours within one year of their regular studies.  The applicants having relevant DAE shall apply against 5% reserved quota only. Their application against open merit shall not be entertained in the MORNING PROGRAMS. FACULTY OF ENGINEERING & TECHNOLOGY UNDERGRADUATE FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMS: FULL TIME MORNING (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) Degree Programs Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria 1) BSc Chemical Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission application. Engineering HOWEVER: at least 60% marks are required in the intermediate 2) BSc Electrical (Pre-Engineering or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly Engineering recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to meet the minimum admission criteria. OTHERWISE: the admission shall be cancelled.

MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA: The Merit shall be determined by the following criteria: 70% weightage to the Intermediate or relevant DAE marks obtained 30% weightage to the UET Entry Test obtained Score

NOTE:  The University of Engineering & Technology (UET), Lahore Entry Test Score is mandatory for the calculation of merit.  The three years relevant Diploma Holders (DAE) with 60% marks in relevant Associate Engineering duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) may apply only against the 2% reserved quota only. FULL TIME EVENING 1:30 PM (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) 1) BSc Chemical Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission application. Engineering HOWEVER: at least 50% marks are required in the intermediate Technology (Pre-Engineering or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly 2) BSc Electrical recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to Engineering meet the minimum admission criteria. 3) BSc Mechanical Engineering MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA: Technology The Merit shall be determined by the following criteria: 70% weightage to the Intermediate or relevant DAE obtained marks. 30% weightage to the UOG Departmental Entry Test obtained score. NOTE:  The University of Gujrat Departmental Entry Test Score is mandatory for the calculation of merit.  The applicants having DAE may apply against open merit. No reeve quota is allocated. FACULTY OF MANAGEMENT & ADMINISTRATIVE SCIENCES UNDERGRADUATE FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMS: FULL TIME MORNING (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) Degree Programs Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria 1) BS Accounting and Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission Finance application. HOWEVER: at least 45% marks are required in the 2) BS Banking and Finance intermediate or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly 3) BS Commerce recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to 4) BBA meet the minimum admission criteria. FULL TIME EVENING 1:30 PM (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) 1) BS Accounting and Finance Same criteria as mentioned above for the relevant morning degree programs of the Faculty of Management & Administrative Sciences. NOTE: Applicants having DAE may apply against open merit seats. No reserve quota for DAE. 2) Associate Degree in Hotel Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission & Restaurant Management application. HOWEVER: at least 45% marks are required in the (Two Years Degree intermediate or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly Program) recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to meet the minimum admission criteria. OTHERWISE: the admission shall be cancelled.

MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA: The Merit shall be determined on the basis of the 14 years of education. FACULTY OF SCIENCE UNDERGRADUATE FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMS: FULL TIME MORNING (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) Degree Programs Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria 1) BS Biochemistry Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission 2) BS Biotechnology application. HOWEVER: at least 45% marks are required in the 3) BS Botany intermediate (Pre-Medical) or Science Group with Biology or 4) BS Zoology equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to meet the minimum admission criteria. OTHERWISE: the admission shall be cancelled.

MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA: The Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks in the Intermediate or Equivalent and relevant DAE.

NOTE: The applicants having relevant DAE shall apply against 5% reserved quota only. Their application against open merit shall not be entertained in the MORNING PROGRAMS. 5) BS Mathematics Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission 6) BS Remote Sensing & application. HOWEVER: at least 45% marks are required in the GIS intermediate (Pre-Engineering) or Science Group with Mathematic or equivalent or relevant three years Diploma duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) to meet the minimum admission criteria. MERIT CALCULATION CRITERIA: The Merit shall be determined on the basis of marks in the Intermediate or Equivalent and relevant DAE.

SCHOOL OF ART, DESIGN & ARCHITECTURE (SADA) UNDERGRADUATE FIVE / FOUR YEARS DEGREE PROGRAMS: FULL TIME MORNING (HAFIZ HAYAT CAMPUS, GUJRAT) Degree Program Eligibility and Merit Determination Criteria 1) B-Arch Matriculate or Equivalent is eligible to submit admission (Bachelor of Architecture) application. ANNEXURE-II DETAIL OF RESERVED SEATS IN UNDERGRADUATE DEGREE PROGRAMS AND ADMISSION CRITERIA

1) In addition to the above mentioned general admission criteria the following criteria shall also be applicable upon all reserved seats applicants. 2) The merit of the offered reserved seats shall be determined within the category; however, the applicant has to fulfill the general minimum admission eligibility criteria to apply for. 3) In case any reserved seat is not filled, the same shall be treated towards open merit. 4) In case if more than required nominations are received for a particular degree program, UOG shall reserve the rights to prepare the merit list as per UOG policy. 5) Subject to the eligibility a candidate may apply for more than one reserve quota. 6) The relevant document as proof of the reserve quota eligibility shall be required.

1) SPECIAL PERSONS a) Two percent (2%) seats; at least one seat is reserved for special persons in all Undergraduate degree program except BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) The applicant shall have to produce a certificate, duly issued by the District Disable Assessment Committee issued by relevant District or federal government. c) The candidate shall have to appear before the UOG Medical Board / Committee for Medical Examination as per advertised schedule along with original credentials. d) Hard of Hearing shall not be considered as a disability.

2) SPORTS a) Two percent (2%) seats; at least one seat is reserved for sports persons in all Undergraduate degree programs except BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) The applicant shall provide a registration certificate from Country / Provincial / District Sports Board along with certificate(s) of participation at inter college / board / province level issued by the concerned education department / board / province. c) Final selection shall be made on the basis of trials for each category/event/kind of sports that shall be held as per advertised schedule and venue at UOG. d) The University reserves the right to specify the category / event/ kind of sports as per its policy.

3) CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES a) One percent (1%) seat(s); at least one seat is reserved for co-curricular activities in all Undergraduate degree programs except BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) The applicant shall have to provide certificate(s) in the co-curricular activities at inter college / board / province level issued by the concerned education department / board / province. c) The final selection shall be made on auditions that shall be held as per advertised schedule and venue at UOG. d) The University reserves the right to specify the category/events/ kind of Co-curricular activity as per its policy.

4) CHILDREN OF UOG EMPLOYEES a) Two (2%) seats; at least one seat is reserved for the children of UOG Regular BPS/TTS or Long-Term Contractual employees (excluding staff on deputation) in all Undergraduate degree

5) FATA a) Two (2%) seat; at least one seat is reserved for the applicants of FATA in all Undergraduate degree programs EXCEPT BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) Considering KPK Govt. notification received dated March 10, 2020. The nomination letter is not required from the applicant however; domicile and CNIC of FATA shall be required.

6) BALOCHISTAN a) One (1%) seat; at least one seat is reserved for the applicants of Balochistan in all Undergraduate degree programs except BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) The applicant shall produce nomination letter from the respective government.

8) AZAD JAMMU AND KASHMIR (AJK) a) One (1%) at least one seat for the nominees of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) region in all Undergraduate degree programs offered by the Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Social Sciences. b) The applicant shall produce nomination letter from the respective government.

9) AFGHANISTAN a) One seat for the nominees of Afghanistan in all undergraduate degree programs offered by the Faculty of Social Sciences and Department of Mass Communication and Media only. b) The applicant shall produce nomination letter from the respective Embassy in Pakistan.

10) WARDS OF SHUHADA, WAR DISABLED SERVING AND RETIRED INDIVIDUALS OF PAKISTAN ARMED FORCES a) One percent (1%) seat(s); at least one seat is reserved for the Wards of Shuhada, war disabled, serving and retired individuals of Pak Army personnel in all Undergraduate degree programs except BSc Engineering degrees. b) However, a nomination letter from the GHQ shall be required.

11) DIPLOMA HOLDER a) Two percent (2%) seats at least one seat is reserved for DAE (Diploma in Associate Engineering) holders duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) for admission to the relevant BSc Engineering degree programs. b) Five percent (5%) seats in “Morning” are reserved for three years Diploma in Associate Engineering (DAE) in Electrical / Electronics / IT / Computer Hardware / Tele-Communication duly recognized by Pakistan Board of Technical Education (PBTE) holders for admission to BS

12) MINORITIES a) Two (2%) at least one seat for Minorities in all Undergraduate degree programs except BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) NADRA or Government Body documents for the proof of claim as minority shall be required.

13) CHILDREN OF OVERSEAS PAKISTANIS a) Two (2) seats are reserved for the children of overseas Pakistanis in all degree programs EXCEPT BSc Engineering degrees and Bachelor of Architecture. b) Terminal Certificate / Degree shall be from abroad. c) Certificate / Degree Equivalence from IBCC or HEC respectively shall be required.

14) DISTRICT JINNAH PUBLIC SCHOOL AND COLLEGE, MANDI BAHAUDDIN a) Ten percent (10%) of total seats in all Undergraduate degree programs offered at UOG Sub Campus Mandi Bahauddin in morning are reserved for the students of DJPSC Mandi Bahauddin on the basis of merit.
