It was established under the Act IX of 2004 by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 23 February 2004 to cater for the higher education needs of the population of Central Punjab which includes districts of Gujrat, Sialkot and Gujranwala in addition to cities of Wazirabad and Jhelum. University of Gujrat intends to hire the services of transporters/professional contractors / transport companies to provide transportation services for students on different routes to these cities. This contract will be awarded to the successful bidder(s) that meet all the minimum requirements and clearly demonstrate a high degree of experience, ability and competency in transportation services. Declaring that the bidder is not blacklisted by any Government Department / Authority / Agency / Company and the bidder is not engaged in any sort of litigation against any Government Department / Authority / Agency / Company II. In case of any loss, damage, injury, accident or death during any event, the bidder should be solely responsible. III. University of Gujrat has the right to inspect contractor’s / bidders premises and vehicles as and when required. IV. Vehicles being provided for any event as per UOG requirement should have a valid fitness certificate and other related documents. V. The drivers accompanying the vehicles should have a valid driving license of prescribed category. The bidder will also be responsible for board and lodging of drivers. VI. According to Federal government amended S.R.O. 1068(I)/2013 dated 18th December 2013 of LPG (Production & distribution) Rules 2001, Appendix (V) Clause 4. Installation of LPG cylinder or tank on wagons, buses & coaches shall not be allowed and are treated as illegal. It must be ensured that any vehicle using the mentioned fuel shall not be provided to the client/ UOG under any circumstances. It was established under the Act IX of 2004 by Provincial Assembly of the Punjab on 23 February 2004 to cater for the higher education needs of the population of Central Punjab which includes districts of Gujrat, Sialkot and Gujranwala in addition to cities of Wazirabad and Jhelum. University of Gujrat intends hire the services of transport companies/contractors for UoG Hafiz Hayat Campus to provide the students a safe, efficient and affordable transport service for pick and drop of students around 100 kilometers approximately from university. 1. Interested bidders are requested to submit sealed application for prequalification on prescribed format to the office of Director Purchase, Admin Block, University of Gujrat HH Campus Gujrat on or before 2:00 Pm on 08-01-2019 and shall be opened on 2:30pm on the same day in the presence of the bidders/ their authorized representatives. 2. Prequalification for the contractors/transporters will be valid up to one financial year. 3. All the applicants will deposit a fee of PKR 2,000/- (Rupees Two Thousand Only) along with their prequalification documents in the form of pay order, bank Draft/Demand Draft in favor of Treasurer University of Gujrat. 4. Any forms/annexure found incomplete will be liable for disqualification. 5. UOG may reject all bids or proposals at any time prior to the acceptance of a bid or proposal as per PPRA rule 35. 6. The contactor will provide Buses as per strict compliance of all required safety measures, permissible model and standard of fitness etc. as per instructions of Government from time to time for educational institutions. 8. All required buses should be of wider body 62+1 seater (preferably city liner shape or equivalent) conforming to the direction of the Govt. issued from time to time for purpose of fitness and other safety measures. Company`s Stamp Signature Page 11 9. During the process of Procurement University may demand further financial managerial and technical information under PPRA Rule-18. 10. In case of fabricated, forged and materially incorrect information, disqualification and blacklisting as per PPRA Rules is applicable. 11. The bids will be evaluated based on the submitted documents as per following criteria.
