Midwest Islamic Center Masjid Al-Huda Reopening Guidelines

We hope that all of you are staying healthy and safe during these difficult times. Alhamdulillah, last week Governor JB Pritzker announced State of IL’s new guidelines for houses of to follow as the state moves into Phase Three of its opening plan. Insha’Allah we will open Masjid doors for public on June 4th from Zuhar for all prayers. We are strictly following CDC recommendations and State of IL’s new guidelines. According to the CDC and State guidelines People of age above 65 years and below 13 years, and People at high risk (Medical History of Asthma, Lung Disease, Heart Disease or immunocompromised status - Like taking Medications or having health conditions which lowers immunity) are RECOMMENDED TO STAY HOME. If you are having any symptoms of common cold (Nasal congestion, Sinus Congestion, Cough, Sneeze, Headaches, Body aches, Fever, unexplained fatigue or lethargy, Lack of taste or smell – NO ENTRY IN THE MASJID! Please understand that these guidelines are meant to keep our community members as safe as possible and will be enforced. Insh’Allah, may we all be able to congregate in the masjid as we were able to in the past, but for now it is extremely important for every single person to be responsible in ensuring their own safety and the safety of others. There is a limit of 100 people in the masjid at a time (including worshippers, facilities staff and volunteers per). Which means that there will be a count of those coming into the building and once capacity is reached, we cannot allow more worshippers in. We ask that you respect and cooperate with the volunteers. Guidelines to Enter the Masjid

• Everyone must register themselves at www.masjidalhuda.org to enter in masjid. There will be two links at the website, daily salah and Friday prayers. • Everyone will be screened at Masjid parking Gate – Be ready to have your temperature checked. Please declare total headcount in your vehicle and make sure they all are registered online. • Please avoid blocking traffic on the road as vehicles in front of you may take some time in screening. • Masjid gates will be closed 10 min before Prayer time – No exceptions! • To Enter Masjid following are Mandatory a. You must register at Masjid website and scan your code b. You Must wear a Facemask “ALL THE TIME” (Mask that meets CDC Guidelines) c. You Must bring your own Musallah (Prayer Rug) for everyone with you. d. You Must bring a Plastic Bag for Shoes – Shoe rack are not accessible. e. You Must make at home – Wudu area and Bathrooms are closed for Public. • Everyone must always maintain a minimum of 6ft of distance. • Do not shake hands, giving hugs, or make any physical contact with others. • Children under 13 age and Sisters will not be allowed inside the masjid in phase1 of masjid reopening, we plan to slowly ramp up In Sha Allah in coming weeks.

Procedure for Daily Salah: Once the capacity of 100 people is reached, the masjid doors will be locked. 1. Make sure you register yourself before coming to masjid. For everyone safety, we must know who is coming to the masjid and how we can reach out to you in case we have COVID outbreak. 2. Once you registered, you will receive an email with QR code. Keep that code available at masjid gate for verification. 3. Come at least 10 minutes before time, everyone will be screened at Masjid parking/Masjid Gate. Be ready to have your temperature checked and code scanned. Please declare total headcount in your vehicle. 4. Everyone accompany by you must be registered at the website. 5. Once you Enter Masjid – Stay in your Car till 5-minutes before the Iqama. 6. Masjid doors will open 5-minutes before Prayer time. 7. Go straight into the prayer hall with your belongings. 8. Please leave the Masjid after Salah is done. Please perform Sunnah/Nafil prayer at home/work, we are doing this for your health and safety. 9. Please keep the social distance while leaving its for your health and safety. 10. DO NOT socialize in the prayer hall or parking lot.

Process for Friday Salah: Once the capacity of 100 people is reached, the masjid doors will be locked. 1. Make sure you register yourself before coming to masjid. For everyone safety, we must know who is coming to the masjid and how we can reach out to you in case we have COVID outbreak. 2. Once you registered, you will receive an email with QR code. Keep that code available at masjid gate for verification. 3. Come at least 10 minutes before the Friday salah time slot you register for. We will be verifying your registration and your body temperature at the parking gate or at the masjid gate. 4. Will allow people to enter the masjid 5 minutes before Khutba Adan. Therefore, we ask everyone to be seated in the car until we announce to move into the masjid. 5. Go straight into the prayer hall with your belongings 6. Please leave the Masjid after Salah is done. Please perform Sunnah/Nafil prayer at home/work, we are doing this for your health and safety. 7. The process of exiting masjid starts from last Row – Please let last row leave the masjid and once the row behind you is empty –The next row starts to exit. This is to avoid any congestion at the door and keeping the Social distance for your health and safety. 8. DO NOT socialize in the prayer hall or parking lot.
