Fundamental Objectives: Contribution to Society Structural Biology Research Center (1) Nagoya University, in spearheading scientific research, and through the cultivation of human Tau-Lepton Physics Research Center resources capable of exercising leadership both in the domestic and international arenas, Medicine Center for Research of Laboratory Animals and Medical Research Engineering shall contribute to the welfare of humanity and the development of culture, as well as to Center for Neural Disease and Cancer Engineering global industry. Plasma Nanotechnology Research Center (PLANT) Research Center for Materials Backcasting Technology (2) Nagoya University shall put to good use the special characteristics of the local community Center for Computational Science and, through multi-faceted research activities, contribute to the development of the Composite Engineering Research Center region. Bioagricultural Sciences Field Science Center (3) Nagoya University shall promote international academic co-operation and the education of Avian Bioscience Research Center foreign students, and contribute to international exchange, especially with Asian nations. International Development Mathematics 3. Fundamental Policies: Research and Education System Languages and Cultures (1) Nagoya University shall study the various phenomena of the humanities, society and nature Environmental Studies Research Center for Seismology, Volcanology and Disaster Mitigation from an all-inclusive viewpoint, respond to contemporary issues, and adjust and enrich its International Research Center for Sustainable Transport and Cities education system to generate a new sense of values and body of knowledge founded on Information Science Center for Embedded Computing Systems humanity. In addition, microwave devices based on the fast-speed spin dynamic properties and spin manipulation using electric field are also another prospective applications. Moreover, numerous intriguing spin-related phenomena in metals and semiconductors have been predicted and/or demonstrated recently with various potential applications. In this International School and Workshop on Spintronics, the world's top scientists in this research field provide special lectures. The aim of this school is to introduce the graduate students and young researchers to this emerging field and its application. On the other hand, the Workshop this time focuses, in particular, on several novel topological phenomena in magnetism including theoretical and experimental work on skyrmion, spin-orbit interaction, etc. Based on the discussions with all school and workshop participants not only from the field of spintronics but also from general solid state physics, we will understand the novel phenomena deeply and seek the subject for future scientific collaboration between Korean and Japan. Kiyosu has a lot of history such as the site of Kiyosu Castle and is built as an environmental city with safety, comfort and creativity in mind along the waters of the Shonai and Gojo rivers. One of the aims of the city is to raise the cultural awareness of its citizens and foster exceptional people for the next generation, to which we open the Kiyosu City Haruhi Painting Triennale. This will be the eight opening, and has become one of the known competitions around Japan. Many of the past entrants have used this as a starting point for careers in Japan and abroad.
