Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed

The Stewards imposed a 15 Second Time Penalty on Car #22, , for a breach of Article 2.1.1 of Schedule B2 (Careless Driving) causing contact with Car #35, , at Turn 6 on Lap 1 as a result of which Car #35 was pushed off track into the gravel trap and lost multiple positions.

Matters from Qualifying for Race 10 – Parts 1, 2 and 3:

Following a request from , the DRD conducted an investigation into an allegation that the Driver of Car #12, , had impeded Car #55, , on the entry to Turn 4. After reviewing Hawk Eye footage from Car #55 and external Hawk Eye footage of the two Cars on the approach to Turn 4, the DRD determined that the available evidence disclosed no breach of the Rules by the Driver of Car #12 and the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as a result.

Stewards’ Decisions – Penalties imposed

Following admissions to the breaches by each Team, the Stewards imposed Penalties of a Fine of $5,000 and the Loss of Thirty (30) 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Teams Championship Points on each of Triple Eight Race Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd and Chasports Racing Pty Ltd for breaches of Rule A4.4.1 (Safety, Each Competitor is responsible for all safety aspects of the Team including that Competitor’s Car or Cars, Team members, equipment, Pit Garage and visitors to its Pit Garage at all times) after wheels from Car #88 and Car #18 were observed to have dislodged following Pit stops.

Following admissions to the breaches by the Team, the Stewards imposed Penalties of Fines in the sum of $3,000 and the Loss of Thirty (30) 2019 Virgin Australia Supercars Teams Championship Points on Racing Team (Aust) Pty Ltd for each of two breaches of the Article 5.11.2 of the Event Supplementary Regulations, one in connection with Car #12, the other Car #17, during the Pit Stops for those Cars – brake lock mechanism not engaged at all times during Pit Stop before Car was returned to the ground.

The Stewards issued a Fine of $500 to the Driver of Car #88, , for a breach of Rule D11.4.2 (exceeding the Pit Lane 40kph speed limit at Pit Entry – 56kph).

The Stewards issued a Reprimand to the Driver of Car #34, James Golding, for a breach of Article 2.1 of Schedule B2 (Careless Driving) for exceeding the Pit Lane Exit track limits and overtaking other Cars exiting Pit Lane and then impeding Car #17, Scott McLaughlin, at Turn 1.
