Following a request from DJR , after the race the Race Director conducted a review of Car #88, , exiting its pit bay and Car #12 entering its pit bay during their pit stops. The Race Director determined the matter did not warrant referral to the Stewards as no breach of the rules could be established on the available evidence.

The Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty on Car #17 Scott McLaughlin for a Safety Car Restart breach, passing Car #44 before the Control Line The Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty on Car #88 Jamie Whincup for a Pit Lane infringement, unsafe release when Car #99 Anton Pasquale was in the Fast Lane The Stewards imposed a 15 second Time Penalty on Car #2 Bryce Fulwood for a driving infringement, contact to Car #34 . Triple Eight Race Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd admitted to a breach in that Car #88 was placed on trolleys and was turned around in its pit bay before the final car had entered the pit lane. The Stewards imposed a fine of $1,000 with $500 suspended until the 31/12/20

Car #25 was not permitted to take any further part in the Session and its fastest lap in that part of the qualifying session was deleted, for causing a Red Flag during the session

Triple Eight Race Engineering (Australia) Pty Ltd admitted to a breach of rule, following an incident with Car #88 entering the Fast Lane during the session with an air spike nozzle remaining connected to the Car. Rule D11.7.3 mandates that a Car must be completely free from all hoses and equipment before leaving its Pit Bay. The Stewards imposed a Fine in the sum of $500, of which $250 is suspended until 31 December 2020.
