It introduces culture and history of Lithuania to the public of the Red Sea through a series of events. The festivities opened with the "Lithuanian Days" held in the Hurghada Cultural Center on October 25-26, where guests enjoyed piano, violin and kankles (the traditional Lithuanian national instrument) • music by the renowned Lithuanian composer, M.K.Ciurlionis. Lithuanian folk dances and songs, national meals, and artisan works were highlighted. Three exhibitions opened to mark the occasion. There was an exhibition of the most famous Lithuanian painter of the XIX- XX centurie~, a pioneer of symbolism and abstractionism, M.K.Ciurlionis. Additionally, the M.Jovaisa photo exhibition "Unseen Lithuania" and the exhibition of Hurghada based artist, J.VitkeviciOte, who presented authentic paper cuttings, enriched by tradit ional folkloric elements.
