Reunion avec la Presse Miss Mauritius National Organisation en collaboration Hennessy Park Hotel 5/30/2019 MISS MAURITIUS NATIONAL PAGEANT 2019 Chers amis de la presse écrite et parlée, les sponsors, les membres du comité. Au nom du comité national, je vous souhaite la bienvenue à Hennessy Park Hotel et remercie M. Julien Glannes, nouveau membre du comité et Directeur National Events 2019, le directeur de Hennessy Park Hotel et charmant partenaire, qui nous accueille ce matin pour le lancement du 49e anniversaire de l’Organisation Nationale Miss Mauritius. En premier lieu, nous saluons notre président d’honneur l’Honorable Anil Kumarsingh Gayan Ministre du Tourisme, qui continue à nous accorder sa confiance en patronnant ce concours après avoir été à nos cotés pendant trois années consécutives. Voici qu’il nous revient, non seulement pour célébrer ensemble notre 49e anniversaire, mais nous faire le plaisir de rester avec nous en tant que président d’honneur, encore cette année. Je voudrais remercier les 3 mentors; Laetitia Darche Sauzier – Miss Mauritius 2010 Ameeksha Dilchand Narain – Miss Mauritius 2011 David Stafford – Chorégraphe Sans oublier toute l’équipe de tournage, maquillage et coiffure pour la réalisation de cette magnifique vidéo. Historique Crée en 1970, il a vécu pas moins de 49 années. Il n’est malheureusement pas donné à beaucoup d’organisations d’assurer pareille longévité, non seulement à l’intérieur de nos frontières, mais aussi sur le plan international. Le Comité Miss Mauritius a d’abord présenté une concurrente au Concours Miss World à Londres et aussi, de 1975 à 2015, aux Etats Unis, à celui de Miss Universe. Les 49 dernières années auront vu la Miss Mauritius porter avec distinction les couleurs mauriciennes au cœur de nombreuses contrées sur la planète. Au travers de ces représentations, elle aura ainsi contribué à placer l’Ile Maurice sur la carte mondiale de la Mode et de la Beauté, rendant possible, par la même, la réalisation des vœux de feu Sir Seewoosagar Ramgoolam et Sir Gaëtan Duval…De plus, relayée par les télévisions nationales dans l’ensemble des pays, chaque finale atteint pas moins d’un milliard de spectateurs à travers le monde. D’année en année, notre mission consiste à marquer la présence mauricienne au niveau international à travers ces prestigieux concours que sont Miss World, Miss Intercontinental, Miss International, Miss Tourism World, Top Model of the World, et Mr World Pageants. Toutes les semaines, nous avons des demandes pour nous faire représenter à de nouveaux concours de beauté, mais nous avons à faire une sélection juste. Projets Le spectacle aura lieu cette année le samedi 5 Octobre 2019 ici même au Hennessy Park Hotel (un grand merci à Monsieur Julien Glannes). Des jeunes mauriciennes vivant hors du pays ont été invitées à prendre part au concours de leur pays d’origine. Nous voulons promouvoir la Diaspora Mauricienne à travers le monde. Nous faisons un appel à tous nos amis Mauriciens: « si vous avez des contacts qui s’intéressent à organiser un concours parmi les mauriciennes à l’étranger et nous envoient la gagnante pour la Grande Finale, ce sera encore un plus pour notre pays de se faire connaitre à travers le monde. » Nous souhaitons que la transmission se fasse en direct comme d’habitude sur MBC TV et, grâce à la prise en charge de Mauritius Telecom, sur Internet couvrant ainsi le monde entier. Pour rappel, un film, ayant pour but la mise en valeur des atouts de notre pays dans les domaines du tourisme et de l’industrie, sera réalisé en parallèle à ce concours, bénéficiant des images acquises lors des différentes prises de vues de candidates effectuées sur des sites choisis par ICV Maurice, l’équipe de notre cinéaste M. Ramesh Khadun Nul besoin de vous dire qu’ils comptent tous sur notre pays pour présenter des concurrentes élues chaque année. Lorsque nous lançons le Concours National Miss Mauritius, bien plus qu’un événement national, c’est un préliminaire destiné à introduire la Miss Mauritius parmi les ambassadrices de charme du monde réunies sur le plateau de tous ces prestigieux concours précités et d’autres encore. Elles sont en effet nombreuses, nos Miss Mauritius, qui depuis 1970 ont évolué chaque année parmi des centaines de beautés du monde entier. << Notre participation à ces grands Concours représente un avantage certain dans notre exercice global de promotion>>. Au concours Miss World 2018, notre Miss Mauritius, a fait briller L’Ile Maurice sur le plan international à travers le Head to Head interview et fut classée première de son groupe et automatiquement sélectionnée parmi les 12 finalistes. Pour la première fois depuis que les Miss sont interviewées ‘live’ à la Télévision projetant notre pays dans plus de 130 pays à travers le monde sans compter les réseaux sociaux. Ce concours, comme c’était bien dit l’an dernier par notre président d’honneur, le ministre Anil Gayan, est devenu « incontournable ».Pour conclure, nous tenons à remercier très chaleureusement tous ceux qui ont œuvré au sein de notre équipe : les sponsors, les partenaires et les autres volontaires. This April we celebrated our 49th anniversary with our sponsors, the winners and former Miss, in the distinguished presence of our Honorary President Hon. Anil Gayan, Minister of Tourism and Mr Vijaye Haulder, Director. The Grand Final this year will mark our 49th anniversary and next year the historical 50th anniversary. As you are already aware, our last contest has been acclaimed in all relevant quarters, owing undoubtedly to the collaboration of all concerned, specially our Committee which spared not the least effort. The magnificent show owes much to the standard of our contestants, the expertise of the choreographer Ameeksha Dilchand, ex Miss Mauritius and the dazzling part under the brilliant presentation of Mrs Stephanie Cerdor. Without forgetting, Mr Gautam Ramdoyal, Mr Kailash Madhub and Miss Sandana Samoo who shouldered all responsibilities regarding counting and proclamation. Thanks to all our judges who did a remarkable job and to the public for their votes which gave us 4 beautiful queens to represent our country internationally. To all press and radios, our heartfelt thanks for their collaborartion. Our special thanks go to the MBC-TV production team for bringing the show to every home in Mauritius and beyond, Mr Ramesh Khadun for video clip production and editing of all pre-filming, Mr. Joseph Manglaviti and Mr. Jean- Claude Le Roy who assured all the photographing during the whole pageant and Mr Joseph Manglaviti for the winners’ photo shoot. We wish to express our appreciation to all our partners and sponsors as well as the National Committee, particularly Ms Geeta Nundlall and Mrs Jennifer Sang Mang Kin who were present at the office to consistently provide support in all events. Mr Guy Leroux our advisor, Mr Patrick Dumolard who was responsible for our talent show and did a great job by bringing the girls to discover their talent and presenting them on stage. A big bravo to Mr Patrick Pougnet, CEO MyGym, and his team for having taken charge of all our contestants for the preparation and staging of Miss Sports at MyGym, Air Mauritius which accompanies our contesta nts on the way to international pageants. We are equally grateful to Hennessy Park Hotel, for training sessions, conferences, meetings, photo shoots, all rehearsals and also which staged the Elegance, Best Dress and Talent Awards as well as the Grand Finale 2018. Special thanks to Mr Julien Glannes, the Hotel manager and his staff. Objectif de ce concours Le but de ce concours est de procéder à l’élection d’une jeune mauricienne belle, intelligente, talentueuse apte à rayonner au niveau national et représenter la République de Maurice sur le plan international. A notre sens, la beauté ne repose pas uniquement sur la plastique et le look. Nous estimons nécessaire d’inclure le charme, l’élégance, l’intelligence, la sensibilité et le savoir faire afin de rayonner les éléments essentiels à cette beauté tant recherchée par l’Organisation Nationale Miss Mauritius. Sans oublier le sport, primordial pour la santé, ainsi que le talent. Formation Cela implique, certes, une préparation ardue et complète permettant à ces jeunes de se découvrir et s’épanouir, allant jusqu'à influer directement sur le cours de leur vie, les amenant ainsi à effectuer une transformation plus ambitieuse et visionnaire de leur propre avenir.
