On the “inner coast” and in the south, you will discover a gentle landscape with marshland, pine forests and forested hillsides. When we cross Senja towards the west and north, the landscape rises through mountain birch forests, crossing tree-less mountains and barren, high mountains before it drops suddenly down towards the open sea on the “outer coast”.
