  • Ensemble „Paul Abraham“ and Its Members
Ensemble „Paul Abraham“ and its members The ensemble was founded in 2016 in the idea of an active encounter and approach of the cultures of Central and Eastern Europe. What is more suitable for this purpose than the universal and common language of music? It has been historically developed in these by Danube connecting regions and is actual presented jointly by young talented musicians from the music colleges of southern German city Stuttgart and of Serbian city Novi Sad. The ensemble met for the first time to practice at the end of February 2017 in Novi Sad and Apatin. Even the rehearsals were marked by high musical harmony and professionalism. • Saison 15 – 16 Elle Est Pas Jaune La Vie ?
THÉÂTRE AUDITORIUM POITIERS SCÈNE NATIONALE Saison 15 – 16 Elle est pas jaune la vie ? Willkommen ! Bienvenue !

22 March 2012 General Assembly GA/11216 Department of Public Information • News and Media Division • New York Sixty-sixth General Assembly Interactive Thematic Debate AM & PM Meetings CULTURAL DIVERSITY, MUTUAL UNDERSTANDING FORMED BEDROCK OF UNITED NATIONS; RETURN TO SUCH PRINCIPLES VITAL FOR WORLD TORN BY EXTREMISM, FEAR, GENERAL ASSEMBLY TOLD Holds Thematic Debate on Fostering Cross -Cultural Understanding; Panels: Peace and Development — What Works; Youth as Partners — Best Practices Cultural diversity, freedom of thought and mutual understanding formed the bedrock on which the United Nations had been built, and returning to those principles was vital in a world increasingly characterized by extremism and an entrenched fear of the “other”, the General Assembly was told today, as senior Government officials gathered for a thematic debate on fostering cross-cultural understanding. Convened jointly with the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, the one-day interactive debate aimed to support international and grass-roots initiatives that advanced intercultural dialogue and promoted collaborative relations among cultures. It featured two panel discussions, respectively on “Cross-Cultural Understanding for Peace and Development — What Works?” and “Youth as Partners in Advancing Cross-cultural Understanding — Best Practices and Challenges”. In her opening remarks, Deputy Secretary-General Asha-Rose Migiro welcomed the many young people in the audience, saying: “The work we are discussing today is not only about you — it depends on you”. She had seen time and again how easily young people forged relationships across the very cultural and religious borders that had kept older generations apart. So-called “grown-ups” needed to follow the lead of young people and leave stereotypes behind.

B Matinee 2019 TOUR REPORT P R E P A R E D B Y N O B O R D E R S O R C H E S T R A B M A T I N E E 2 0 1 9 2 NO BORDERS ORCHESTRA B MATINEE 2019 In the summer of 2019, No Borders Orchestra string ensemble, accompanied by percussions and electronics, kicked off another international tour around the Western Balkans and Europe called “B Matinee” – which can symbolically stand for Balkan, Berlin, Berghain and Beyond. The B Matinee played in six cities of the ex Yugoslavia region between July and September 2019 before transferring to the finale of the tour in Berghain, an iconic club in Berlin. B Matinee brings together contemporary classical music and clubbing culture, and features cutting-edge new compositions by today’s most exciting young composers from the Balkan region. These new, contemporary, experimental compositions are inspired by Berghain, the famous Berlin club, it's cutting- edge techno sound and the freedom as lifestyle that this institution represents. During the wars of the 90s, what once was Yugoslavia, became “balkanized” into alienated societies with little or no contacts between each other. The result, unfortunately, was also no dialogue between cultural scenes in the region. Artists don't know what their colleagues are doing. The composers don't know the works of the other regional composers. This is exactly why we created the B Matinee project. We created space for exchange and showed young composers’ works on a regional and European level.
