United Nations S/2020/736 Security Council Distr.: General 28 July 2020 Original: English Letter dated 23 July 2020 from the President of the Security Council addressed to the Secretary-General and the Permanent Representatives of the members of the Security Council I have the honour to enclose herewith a copy of the briefings provided by Mr. Nickolay Mladenov, Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and Personal Representative of the Secretary-General; Mr. Khalil Shikaki, Professor of Political Science and Director of the Palestinian Center for Policy and Survey Research; and Mr. Daniel Levy, President of the US/Middle East Project, as well as the statements delivered by His Excellency Mr. Miguel Berger, State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany, and by the representatives of Belgium, China, the Dominican Republic, Estonia, France, Indonesia, the Niger, the Russian Federation, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Tunisia, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the United States of America and Viet Nam, in connection with the video-teleconference on the agenda item entitled “The situation in the Middle East, including the Palestinian Question”, convened on Tuesday, 21 July 2020. A statement was also delivered by the representative of Israel.
