Roger’s ashes were scattered at the westerly buoy of the Brighton and Seacliff Yacht Club where Roger grew up sailing and where Baz had his ashes scattered 22 years ago.

In his early years Roger was a great help to Baz as he worked around our Club and sailed on Payne Mortlock Sailing Canoes before he was lured away to work for the Department of Foreign Affairs in Canberra. He served in Moscow (USSR), Manila (Philippines), KL (Malasia) and Yokohama (Japan) and was fiercely proud of his service to Australia while working for the Department.

Like Baz and Betty, he loved sharing knowledge and training and organising people. He was heavily involved in the Scouting movement and was a Queen’s Scout, Cub leader, Scout leader and Joey leader.
