In Junior Land you just back it up straight away with State Optimist titles at ASC, State 420 Another great morning thanks to titles at BSYC, then top it off with our coaches and the Baker family Sail Melbourne for the travellers for the running of the Annual Craig and the Craig Baker Memorial Sail Baker Memorial Race. DECEMBER 2018 Page 10 For those new to the club - The Sail Melbourne Results – Craig Baker Memorial was set up in memory of Craig Baker, a young Summary:- Wild wind/ No sailor at BSYC who was sadly taken wind/thunderstorms/rain/lighting/ from the Baker family and his crazy times= sailing friends when he was only 20 years. Lachlan Roe - 4th overall in Laser The trust was established in his 4.7 name to foster Craig’s enthusiastic and successful participation in our Darcy Higgins – 6th overall BSYC junior sailors. In addition to Optimist Intermediate hosting a great fun morning of sailing and filling the sailors’ bellies Aussie Higgins – 19th ( really 8th) with yummy hamburgers, the Trust overall Optimist Open supports our BSYC youth sailors via Kaity Roe- Gold Medalist grants, to assist them to compete at events such as worlds and Winners are Grinners Nationals. A great opportunity open to all junors. Well the end of the year is nearly upon us with only the ALL State Opti Results- FAMOUS Jetty sail on the 22nd Dec to come.
