READ ME First: “Guidelines/Recommendations” The following guidelines should be considered when choosing the method to connect to a projector. All of these methods have been tested by the Tech staff but not necessarily every type of PC, tablet, or phone…

Decide what do you need to project? Is it:  Video with audio  Video Only  Images only  Documents, Spreadsheets, Presentations  Websites (without audio)  APPs  Audio Only

Suggested connection methods: Device = Video & Audio. “No security” Therefore students or others could interrupt your presentation. :  Use an HDMI cable (to keep others from interrupting).  Google Chromecast device: If not concerned about others disconnecting you from the Projector during your presentation. Windows Laptop: If available:  Use an HDMI cable (to keep others from interrupting).  VGA cable, an 3.5mm stereo cable & external speakers  Ethernet Network (with Epson EasyMP software) (If not installed submit SchoolDude and Tech will install)  Google Chromecast device: If not concerned about others disconnecting you from the Projector during your presentation. MacBook Laptop: If available,  Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to HDMI cable/converter (not available from Tech)  Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to VGA cable/converter (not available from Tech), a 3.5mm stereo cable & external speakers  Ethernet Network (with Epson EasyMP software installed) (If not installed submit SchoolDude and Tech will install.)  Google Chromecast device: If not concerned about others disconnecting you from the Projector during your presentation. MacBook Air  Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to HDMI cable/converter (not available from Tech)  Thunderbolt/Mini Display Port to VGA cable/converter (not available from Tech), a 3.5mm stereo cable & external speakers  Google Chromecast device: If not concerned about others disconnecting you from the Projector during your presentation. Windows :  VGA cable, an 3.5mm stereo cable & external speakers  Ethernet Network (with Epson EasyMP software installed) (If not installed submit SchoolDude and Tech will install.)

The above two options will offer all types of projection (video & audio streaming, websites with and without audio, Google Docs, & , MS Office Word, Excel & PowerPoint, as well as other programs on the PC.  Google Chromecast device: If not concerned about others disconnecting you from the Projector during your presentation.

iPhone or iPad  HDMI cable, HDMI to 8 pin lightening or 30 pin adapter/converter (not available from Tech)  VGA cable, VGA to 8 or 30 pin adapter/converter an 3.5mm stereo cable & external speakers  Video & TV Cast APP

 Google Chromecast Device = Video & Audio. “No security” Therefore students or others could interrupt your presentation.

Tablet or Android Phone  If the Android device supports MHL, you can connect an MHL to HDMI adapter to the device, then connect it to the HDMI port on the projector.  Or if the Android supports a Mini-HDMI cable to connect directly to the standard HDMI port on the projector.  Type-C (USB-C) to VGA Adapter (not available from Tech)

 Type-C (USB-C) to HDMI Adapter (not available from Tech)

Projector Connections available within FLRSD  VGA = Video only  HDMI = Video & Audio  Google Chromecast Device = Video & Audio. “No security” Therefore students or others could interrupt your presentation.

Presently there are no District owned converter/adapters to support Androids, iPhone or Macintosh Laptops.

 Thunderbolt or a Mini Display Port connector to an HDMI converter = Video & Audio

 Thunderbolt or a Mini Display Port connector to a VGA converter = Video, you will need an audio cable and external speakers.

 Ethernet (Only available if Tech has installed)
