How can a Chromebook be identified? ● All NWCSD CB’s () are labeled based on asset tag. Removal of ANY identifying labels or markings is strictly prohibited.

How do I sign in on a Chromebook? ​ ​ ● NWCSD CB’s are set up to be used only with a NWCSD . Use your username and password to get started. ● 1:1 CB’s allow saved account login windows for easier access on a single user device.

Does a Chromebook allow multiple users to login to use the device? ​ ​ ● Yes. Provided that the user logs in with their Google Apps username and password, different ​ ​ users can access their personal , Docs, etc. This makes sharing a device easy and convenient for students and staff.

How do I access my documents? ● Chromebooks are “cloud-based”, which means that you access documents and applications ​ are store them online, not locally on the hard drive of the device. How long does the battery typically last? ● Chromebook batteries range from 6 - 9 hours of continuous use. They can generally last an ​ entire school day without the need to be charged. They should always be charged overnight. Can I connect a Chromebook up to a projection device? ​ ​ ● Yes, Chromebooks can be used with projectors as long as you have the appropriate adapter- ​ ​ “” for the connection. What options are there for loaner CB’s? ● Loaner CB’s may be issued if a machine is being repaired, or if deemed necessary by a teacher. All loaner CB’s will be loaned out through the school library.

How do I get help/support for a CB issue? 1. Go to a teacher for first troubleshooting efforts. 2. If problem persists, go to the school main office. 3. ONLY Staff members put in a HELPDESK request. 4. All CB's waiting for repair are stored securely through the office. 5. Loaner CB's (if deemed needed) are checked out through the library.
