The families were reportedly displaced from Shortaghai village to various locations in Yangi Qala district. The caseload was refer to ARCS for verification on 25 October that confirmed ARCS on 12 December. A joint assessment team consisting of IOM, CONCERN, , WFP, DG and ANDMA was mobilized for assessment of the displaced families on 13 December. 35 families were found displaced and eligible for humanitarian assistance. IOM will desti- tute winter clothing module while CONCERN will distribute household items, hygiene kits, family tent on 20 December. WFP committed to cover food needs. Kunar: As per initial report obtained from ANDMA on 15 December; 10 families were reportedly affected by heavy rainfall in four districts ( Khas Kuner, Chaw Kay, Nurgal, Shigal). Joint assessment teams consisting of IOM, IMC, ANDMA, DG, WFP and PU-AMI initiated assessment on 18 December, four families were found affected and eligible in Nurgal district, two families in Chawki, two families in Khas Kunar and no family was found affected in Shigal district. IOM will distribute winter clothing, family, solar lanterns and tar- paulins to four affected families in Nurgal district while the needs for NFIs in Chawki and Khas Kunar will be covered by IMC, Food needs has been referred to WFP for their possible intervention. As requested by IMC, IOM will only distribute witner clothing to four families in Khas Kunar and Chawki district, the distribution is planned on 20 De- cemeber. Laghman: As per initial report obtained from ANDMA; 12 families were reportedly effected in Mehtarlam on 14 December. A joint assessment team consisting of IOM, IMC, ANDMA initi- ated assessment on 18 December. Six families were found affected eligible for humanitarian assistance. IOM will distribute winter clothing and solar lights, NFI needs will be covered by IMC while food needs will be covered by ANDMA, the distribution is planned on 20 December. Kabul: As per initial reports obtained from district authorities; 50 Families were reportedly effected by heavy snowfall in Sorubi district on 17 December. The join assessment team consisting of IOM, ANDMA and ARCS had a coordination meeting with district authorities and elders of the affected area. Following the coordination, as per the elders and district authorities, the road to the affected area is currently closed due to heavy snow while area is also not secure due to security constraints for the team to assess. The team decided to refer the caseload to ARCS to verify the incident. Zabul: As per initial reports obtained from ANDMA through a letter sent to humanitarian partners; 332 families were reportedly effected by severe winter in Qalat. The join assess- ment team consisting of IOM,UNICEF, UNHCR,HAPA and ANDMA initiated assessment on 14 December. 116 families were found eligible for humanitarian assistance, consider- ing the vulnerabilities of the families, the team recommended distribution of winter clothing, hygiene kits and blankets. IOM will distribute winter clothing and blankets while UNICEF will distribute hygiene kits. Logar: As per the report obtained from ANDMA on 06 December, around 33 families were displaced due to landslide in Belawri village of Khoshi district. Joint assessment teams con- sisting of IOM, ANDMA, ARCS and IRC initiated assessment on 09 December. Due to visible cracks on a hill next to the community and underlying risk of a landslide, 33 families were forced to leave their dwellings. The families were evacuated and currently hosted by relatives in the same village. So far, no damages reported by the assessment team however the areas is under high risk of landslide and the families are advised not to return to their houses. Considering the vulnerabilities of the families, the team recom- mended winter warm clothing and blankets, the next PDCM meeting will decide on allocation of land for the displaced families. IOM distributed winter clothing and blankets, ANDMA distributed food items and AFN15,000 cash for rent while IRC distribute AFN6,000/family for heating materials. So far, 6,387 families have received assistance while the assessment and response is on-going by 25 joint assessment teams. Kunar: Due to cross border shelling from Pakistan, 826 families were reportedly displaced from Kunar (Shegal, Marawar, Shegal Wa Sheltan districts) to Asad Abad. So far, 886 families are assessed of which 577 families found eligible for humanitarian assistance and all the eligible families have received assistance. Baghlan Conflict IDP: 1,465 families reported displaced from Samangan (Roye Do Aab) and Baghlan (Cheshmesher, Tala Wa Barfak, Sorba village of Borka district) currently residing in Pole Khumri city and center of Burka center. So far, 1122 families assessed of which 449 families identified for assistance. 90 families have received assistance, WFP distributed food items, UNHCR distributed NFIs, DACCAR distributed hygiene kits and ACTED distributed multi-purpose cash. Balkh conflict IDP: 822 families reportedly displaced from different provinces in North and Northeast currently residing in Mazar City. 351 families have been assessed so far of which 346 families verified for assistance. 162 families have received of Food items, Hygiene kits, NFIs and multi-purpose cash from WFP DACAAR, PIN and SCI on 22 November. Jawzjan Conflict IDP: Reportedly 1,707 families displaced from Qushtepa district (Dasht Laili ,Jarsma Choqor, Taraghli Afghania, Bik Sar, Khanaga) to Sheberghan city and within Qushtepa district. 1,381 families have been assessed of which 504 families verified for assistance. 408 families have received humanitarian assistance. WFP provided food items to 408 families , Save the children provided NFIs to 114 families, UNICEF provided Children clothing to 408 families , ACTED distributed shelter tools to 107 families. Sare Pul Conlfict IDP: Reportedly 1,500 families were displaced from Jawjan (Darzab district) and Sare Pul (different districts) to Sare Pul center. 1,188 families have been assessed so far of which 1,014 families verified for assistance. 64 families have received food and NFIs distributed by WFP and SCI. Kunduz conflict IDP: 2,879 families reportedly displaced from Imam Saheb and Chahardarah district to Kunduz center. So far; 1,907 families were assessed of which 760 families have been verified in need of assistance. 549 families have received assistance from NRC, ACTED,UNHCR and WFP. Takhar conflict IDP: Reportedly 386 families displaced from Badakhshan, Kunduz and Takhar (different districts) to Takhar centre. 386 families assessed so far of which 147 families have been veri- fied for assistance. 147 families received assistance, WFP distributed food items, ACTED distributed cash (AFN14,000/family) and CONCERN distributed NFIs. Faryab 160 families reportedly displaced from Khuja Sabz Push , Sherin Tagab, Dawlat Abad, Gurziwan districts currently Faryab center. 160 families assessed so far of which 53 fami- lies have been verified in need of assistance. The families will be assisted by WFP, NPO and ACTED.
