SECURITY COMMITTEE ANNOUNCEMENTS

Since the start of Operation Protective Edge, the Security Committee has been busy working with shul and community leaders to safeguard our members and property. Our work is ongoing.

1. We are in the process of reactivating the crash bar alarms on all side

doors. If you attempt to exit the building from an armed side door, the

alarm will go off. Please enter and exit the building from the Clark

Avenue and parking doors only. Use the fire doors only in the event

of an emergency.

2. Recruitment for the security team is well on its way, with approximately 25 volunteers signed up towards our goal of 40. We will have eight teams of five members each: two at the Clark Avenue entrance, two at the parking lot and one team leader. Each team will be on duty for one, two hour shift every fourth Shabbos and Yom Tov. The goals of the security teams will be to (1) act as a visible deterrent at points of entry into the building and (2) respond to emergency situations according to a defined protocol.
