Broadway Teaching Group Broadway Student Summit

The two-day program includes: • Ticket to hit Broadway show. • 6 WORKSHOP SESSIONS, subject to change

• ACTING TECHNIQUE WORKSHOP Learn to prepare scenes and monologues, text analysis and collaboration. How do I look at a scene and know what to do? This class will give you the tools to investigate the various techniques that give you a foundation to feel prepared and confident on stage.

AUDITION CLASS Taught by a Broadway teaching artist, guest performer and pianist, this class explores the Broadway audition process, offering a group of volunteer students the opportunity to perform their audition material and work on interpretation and technique in front of the class.

• VOCAL CLASS with a Broadway musical director.

• BROADWAY DANCE AUDITION: Step into the chorus line as a Broadway dance captain teaches you a combination from a Broadway show and takes you through the Broadway dance audition experience.

• PATH TO BROADWAY: Meet three performers currently working on Broadway, who will share their experiences, advice, and audition material.

• FREESTYLE RAP/COMEDY GAMES: Hip hop improv class that keeps students on their feet with non-stop narrative invention, expressed in rhythm, rhyme, and wit. A modern day Shakespearian exercise, this style was the foundation for the creation of Hamilton, and a new way of story telling that speaks directly to younger generations.

Tuition: $599* for both students and teachers/chaperones. (No comps available for these events.)

* This covers the cost of the show and workshops but does not include hotel, travel or food.

• Cancellation Policy: Refunds are not available you have reserved your space with a non- refundable deposit. If you do not pay the remainder of your tuition fee before the due date (90 days prior to your workshop), you will forfeit your space and the deposit. If you are unable to use your space, you may transfer your paid tuition to another student (or attendee) not yet registered. Weather cancellations are rare and subject to the same policy as the box office for the Broadway show that group is seeing.
