If anything else is to be scheduled with an eye to the Mexican and Negro vot you might want t o give som t hough t to the Compton area. Population i n Compton-Lynwood i s ab out 170, 000 and well over 50% is made up of Mexicans and Negroes . I understand that the unions and the Democrats have been far more active than we ha ve in this area. My guess is that RN wo uld have a better reception in the area than he would in th East LA area . Sam Raia who is on the advisory board of Comp t on College is willing to be helpful in any way he can. (Bus iness phone NE 62935). If RN is out th n we mi ght want to think of something f or Pat Nixon in the area with emphasis put on a Mexican ladies reception. ocT / 0
