Academic Trip Dear parent Greetings from Lakshya Team! LET YOUR CHILD VISIT ISRO, SRIHARIKOTA THIS OCTOBER “The journey matters as much as the goal” – Kalpana Chawla We salute the ISRO scientists for their tremendous efforts towards sending Chandrayan 2 so close to the moon. The best is yet to come for us. No doubt success is a bonus but failures brings in real learning experience as APJ Abdul Kalam said “Failure will never overtake me if my definition to succeed is strong enough”. Well, in order to develop a sense of scientific inquiry amongst students of Grade III to IX, we are proud to organize a trip to ISRO Sriharikota from 3rd Oct to 7th Oct, 2019. (The dates may change on availability of AC 3 Tier Train tickets). The total cost of the trip will be Rs. 12,500/-. We are really sorry to give you a very short notice for this trip as it was’nt possible to inform any earlier. Time is really short and so if you are interested to send your ward to this trip, kindly register by Monday (09.09.2019) without fail by sending Rs. 5,000.00 (In cash only) as advance and rest of the payment can be done latest by 11th September. (We can’t take any registration after 9th Sept as train tickets won’t be available. Kindly note that suggested packing list will be sent to you shortly. DISTRICT PROFILE - 2017 CHENNAI DISTRICT ORIGIN OF CHENNAI Chennai, originally known as Madras Patnam, was located in the province of Tondaimandalam, an area lying between Pennar river of Nellore and the Pennar river of Cuddalore. The capital of the province was Kancheepuram.Tondaimandalam was ruled in the 2nd century A.D. by Tondaiman Ilam Tiraiyan, who was a representative of the Chola family at Kanchipuram. Steam Loco at RIGA Paala State Monorail Tramway The Paala State Monorail Tramway (PSMT) was a unique rail system constructed by Maharaja Sir Bhupinder Singh of Paala for movement of people and goods in his state. It operated in Paala state between 1907 and 1927. PSMT was based on the Ewing system wherein rail-guided vehicles use a balancing wheel for balancing. 95% of the load is taken by the single rail and the remaining 5% by the balancing wheel.
