Biratnagar Airport located North of Biratnagar Bazaar, , in Province 1. It is 6 km South of Biratnagar City accessed via blacktopped urban road. It is the second busiest domestic airport in Nepal. This airport has a night landing facility as well and supports some STOL airports in the region.

The runaway is at risk of flooding in the monsoon season (usually June to mid-September), which could suspend operations.
