Proceeding Supplementary Issue: Spring Conferences of Sports Science. International Conference on Psychology of Education Sciences & Lifestyle. The methodology of the approach to improving the system of end-to-end training and selection in the Russian national sport - sambo (self-defence without weapons) I. R. SHEGELMAN 1 , A. N. GODINOV Petrozavodsk State University (PSU), Petrozavodsk, Republic of Karelia, Russian Federation ABSTRACT In recent years, in many countries of the world, attention to the Russian national sport - sambo (self-defense without weapons) has increased. Two major versions, developed by the International and European Federations, are officially recognized in the world: sports sambo and combat sambo. The paper considers the methodology of the approach to improving the system of end-to-end training and selection in sambo. The experience of implementing this approach, obtained at the Sambo School of the Republic of Karelia, is considered. Thanks to this sambo training, many children and adolescents are enrolled in schools in the region. Highly qualified athletes (World, Europe, Russia champions) are trained at the supporting university of the Republic of Karelia - Petrozavodsk State University, youth are being prepared for military service, sambo elements are used in physical training of employees of various power structures. Keywords: Painful techniques; Throws; Sport; Martial arts; National sport; Sambo; Selection in sport; Long- term training. Cite this article as: Shegelman, I.R., & Godinov, A.N. (2020). Microtectonic Measurements and Interpretation of the Mesozoic Formations in the Villány Hills and Görcsöny–Máriakéménd Ridge, Hungary
Central European Geology, Vol. 53/1, pp. 21–42 (2010) DOI: 10.1556/CEuGeol.53.2010.1.2 Microtectonic measurements and interpretation of the Mesozoic formations in the Villány Hills and Görcsöny–Máriakéménd Ridge, Hungary Attila Petrik Department of Regional Geology Eötvös Lóránd University, Budapest Within the framework of a National Research Fund project, different types of scientific investigations were carried out with the aim of a comprehensive paleogeographic reconstruction of the Tisza structural unit. As part of this project microtectonic measurements in the area of the Villány Hills and Görcsöny–Máriakéménd Ridge were carried out. Several publications have already appeared concerning the structural development of the Mecsek–Villány area (Csontos and Bergerat 1988, 1993; Benkovics 1997; Csontos et al. 2002), but in these the Villány Hills and their surroundings played a secondary role compared to the Mecsek Mountains. The goal of the present study was to establish the limits of the structural phases and determine their relative and absolute ages. An important issue has been to clarify to what degree the suggested events of structural deformation could be integrated into regional geologic processes. The tectonic conditions of the area of interest were studied through description and analysis of structural elements of 12 investigated quarries within it. Calculated stress field data were also analyzed. Seven quarries in the Villány Hills, five in the Görcsöny–Máriakéménd area, the data of over 650 striae, 550 joints, various ductile deformation elements (folds, flexures) as well as stylolites, were recorded. Integrating these structural elements into the regional geologic processes was of significant importance. Introduction and geologic background The Tisza Unit (Fig. -
New Civil Society Network Will Support Finno-Ugric Indigenous Language Activism
New Civil Society Network Will Support Finno-Ugric Indigenous Language Activism Civil society organisations of indigenous Finno-Ugric peoples from Russia, Estonia and Finland are among the first to join preparations for the International Year of Indigenous Languages 2019 that has been proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly. Representatives of Finno-Ugric peoples from the Baltic Sea Region have established a civil society network for preserving and revitalizing indigenous Finno-Ugric languages, by proposing concrete steps for ensuring sustainability of these languages. Activities of the project include a mini-grant programme for supporting local language initiatives and design of an interactive publication about good practices of language preservation and revitalization led by the civil society. The project, funded by the Nordic Council of Ministers, will strengthen language activism in the Baltic Sea Region and will present the unique Finno-Ugric experience to international venues. To launch the project “Civil Society Network For Revitalising Indigenous Languages”, partner organisations from Estonia, Finland and North-West Russia, under the leadership of the Association of Ethno-Cultural Centres “ECHO”, met in the historical Karelian village Kinerma and in the Karelian Language House in Vedlozero (Vieljärvi) on September 3-5, 2018. A number of external experts and representatives of Karelian authorities were invited to the discussion. Zinaida Strogalschikova, a well-known researcher at the Karelian Academic Centre and a leader of the indigenous Veps community, gave an update of Russia’s legislation in the field of language policy and analysed opportunities for civil society participation in the preservation and revitalization of indigenous peoples’ language. -

Paradox of Writing Folk Music National Representation and Song Writers in Russian Karelia

The article is devoted to the socio-economic adaptation of single-industry towns’ population on the example of single-industry settlements in the North-West of Russia. The work’s theoretical and meth- odological framework is the approaches of scientists who study the grassroots practices of survival of small towns and villages (seasonal work, commuting, a distributed way of life, the informal economy). The empir- ical base of the study are statistical data collected from the databases of EMISS, SPARK Interfax, the Foun- dation for the Development of Single-Industry Towns, websites of administrations of single-industry set- tlements in the Northwestern Federal District, as well as data from field studies collected by the method of semi-formalized interviews with representatives of administrations and deputies of city and regional coun- cils, with ordinary residents of single-industry towns in Republic of Karelia, Leningrad and Vologda oblasts. -

How to use the Atlas The Atlas has two map sections The Main Section shows the location of Russia’s intact forest landscapes. The Thematic Section shows their tree species composition in two different ways. The legend is placed at the beginning of each set of maps. If you are looking for an area near a town or village Go to the Index on page 153 and find the alphabetical list of settlements by English name. The Cyrillic name is also given along with the map page number and coordinates (latitude and longitude) where it can be found. Capitals of regions and districts (raiony) are listed along with many other settlements, but only in the vicinity of intact forest landscapes. The reader should not expect to see a city like Moscow listed. Villages that are insufficiently known or very small are not listed and appear on the map only as nameless dots. If you are looking for an administrative region Go to the Index on page 185 and find the list of administrative regions. The numbers refer to the map on the inside back cover. Having found the region on this map, the reader will know which index map to use to search further. If you are looking for the big picture Go to the overview map on page 35. This map shows all of Russia’s Intact Forest Landscapes, along with the borders and Roman numerals of the five index maps. If you are looking for a certain part of Russia Find the appropriate index map. These show the borders of the detailed maps for different parts of the country. -
