  • MUTANT POP Big Catalog
It’s the incredible free! MutantMutant PopPop Y Mailorder Catalog Hi again! Don’t forget to bookmark the web page: http://members.aol.com/mutantpop/index.html This month’s dose of joy is MP-30 VARIOUS ARTISTS “No Band Photo, Vol.1.” Yes, you read that right, no leather jacket boys on the sleeve, just a cool cartoon by Jeff Wilson, author of Sap. It looks swell and you get four little band photos inside along with my typical yeoman’s output of typos, so dry your little traditionalist eyes. Four bands for five bucks on two slabs of wonderful blue wax. THE FRATELLI’S are on side F, this is their first release ever. They’re four guys from Michigan and they deliver two uptempo, peppy, happy sounding cuts. “Nobody Likes Me Again” is the hit, an anthem for unpopular kids everywhere. THE FRATELLI’S fit into the puzzle next to bands like CARTER PEACE MISSION and THE KLOPECS, combining buzzing guitars and a warm, fuzzy ambiance with enough guitar grit to slide into the pages of Maximum Rocknroll. An excellent pop-punk band, I hope this is just the first of a series of FRATELLI’S stuff. Backing side F is side S. The big S stands for SPODIE and you certainly must know them by now. Their self-released “Pop Punk-a-Go Go” EP blows the doors off, their new split EP with PINCUSHION adds to their growing legacy. SPODIE is definitely the hardest of the four bands involved in this project, chas- ing it with two true-to-life relationship songs.

2017 ANNUAL REPORT Engineering the Future – since 1758. MAN SE TEMPO We will see more changes in the next ten years than we have in the last fi ve decades. Innovative solutions in the fi elds of transportation and energy are becoming increasingly important, and demand for them is growing rapidly. We are putting this development to good use – with new concepts and products, cooperation initiatives and services. We are advising major cities on how to develop a modern transportation infrastructure. We are automating the transportation of goods. We are moving away from components to become a system provider, a one-stop shop for drives along with monitoring, consulting, and other types of services. If we want to meet the challenges of the future successfully, we have to rise to them today – of that much we are sure. This is why we are engineering the future of MAN and our customers right here, right now. By upping the tempo. First I’d like to express my gratitude to my mentors at Texas Christian University and the University of British Columbia: Dr. William H. Beezley for his persistent recruiting effort, his sage advice, his funding generosity, and for graciously agreeing to direct my committee from afar; Dr. William E. French for first interesting me in Latin American history and then overseeing my first two degrees; and Dr. Susan Ramirez for ensuring the completion of my dissertation with her timely support and counsel. TCU faculty helped immensely, from the editorial knives and conceptual assistance of Dr. Claire Sanders and Dr. Sara Sohmer on my earlier chapters to the constant support of Department Chair Ken Stevens and his wife, Nancy, and the guidance of outstanding committee members Dr. Don Coerver, Dr. Mark Gilderhus, and Dr. Arturo Flores. Dr. William B. Taylor at UC-Berkeley not only taught an excellent course on the Colonial Church and Society but offered a professional and personal friendship for which I am most grateful. Scholars such as Jürgen Buchenau at UNC-Charlotte and Glen Kuecker at DePauw University sharpened my thoughts on consumption.
