The subjects were located and helped out of the area by some hunters. SAR was stood down. 28 11:29 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 North Shore Rescue members responded to 201299 assist a female who suffered an ankle injury while hiking Mt. Fromme. Subject was passed to BCAS with a suspected fracture. 28 18:00 VIR AIR ELT 3 3 PEP Air members responded to an ELT sounding 201300 in the Campbell River area. Found ELT and turned it off. 28 18:27 CTL LAND 1 9 1 9 Princeton SAR members responded to rescue 201301 the occupant of a vehicle precariously stuck on a cliff in the Princeton area. SAR rescued the subject. 28 19:01 NWE INLAND 1 5 1 5 Terrace SAR members responded to rescue a 201302 WATER despondent female from above the near Terrace. Subject was located, successfully taken out of the water, and handed off to BCAS. 28 19:35 VIR LAND 1 5 1 5 Campbell River SAR members responded to 201303 search for a despondent male in the Gold River area. The subject was located by RCMP 29 11:29 SWE LAND 1 6 1 6 Campbell River SAR members responded to 201304 rescue a hiker that had fallen 30 metres near Warden Peak. The subject was passed to BCAS for transport to the hospital. 29 1324 SEA LAND 1 10 1 10 members of Revelstoke SAR responded to 201305 rescue a hunter who fell down a hill 500 metres from the McDonald snowshed. The subject was successfully extricated using HETS and was passed to BCAS. 29 19:14 NWE LAND 1 5 1 5 SAR and RCMSAR members responded 201306 to assist an injured logger near Eagle Bay. RCMSAR successfully transported the subject to rendezvous with BCAS. 29 1948 VIR LAND 1 6 1 6 Alberni Valley Rescue members responded to 201307 search for a missing 13 year old male on the Log Train Trail. SAR stood down after the subject returned home, okay. 29 2016 SWE LAND 1 11 1 11 SAR members responded to assist 201308 an injured mountain biker on Burke Mountain. SAR transported the subject to BCAS. 29 2328 NEA LAND 1 4 1 4 Chetwynd SAR members responded to search 201309 for a missing 14 year old male in Chetwynd. SAR was stood down as the subject showed up at school. 30 09:12 NWE LAND 1 4 1 4 Bulkley Valley SAR members responded to 201310 search for a missing hunter in . SAR stood down when the family advised the subject had been located in good condition. 30 12:22 SEA LAND 1 15 1 15 Golden SAR members responded following an 201311 InReach SOS activation near Golden. 1 subject was located safe and sound, the SOS having occurred due to a faulty InReach activation.. 30 14:35 SWE LAND 1 4 1 4 Whistler SAR members responded to an injured 201312 person on Rainbow Mountain at Iceberg Lake. SAR located subject who was flown to Whistler, handed off to BCAS, and brought to hospital with a fractured ankle 30 17:01 SWE AIR ELT 3 3 PEP Air members responded following an ELT 201313 sounding in the Pit Meadows area. The subject aircraft was located, the pilot was notified, and the ELT switch was turned off. 30 21:55 NWE LAND 1 6 1 6 Fort St. James SAR members responded to 201314 locate a missing bark collector off of Cunningham FSR. SAR was stood down by RCMP without locating the subject. 01 06:07 CTL LAND 1 10 1 10 Kamloops SAR members responded to search 201315 for a despondent female in Sun Peaks. SAR was stood down as RCMP located the subject 01 09:32 VIR LAND 1 7 1 7 Campbell River SAR members responded to 201316 rescue an injured hiker on Marina Island. The subject was located and transported out of the area. 01 13:44 VIR LAND 1 63 1 43 Juan de Fuca, 8 , 4 PEMO, 8 201317 Cowichan Valley SAR and 17 convergent volunteers responded to search for a missing despondent female near Beecher Bay. Extensive searches of the area failed to find any sign of the subject and the search was stood down pending further RCMP investigation of reported sightings in Victoria area. 01 14:07 SWE INLAND 6 12 5 1 12 North Shore Rescue members responded to 201318 WATER search for and rescue several people that had been swept down the Capilano River following a large release of water from the Cleveland Dam. 5 individuals were recovered, 1 was deceased. 01 19:25 SWE INLAND 1 11 1 11 Ridge Meadows SAR members responded to a 201319 WATER possible drowning in Alouette Lake, Maple Ridge. They were stood down by RCMP with no results. 02 17:31 SWE INLAND 1 1 1 1 SAR member responded to assist 201320 WATER BCAS with an injured cliff jumper at Kelvin Grove Beach in Bay area. SAR team was stood down when BCAS and Fire were able to extract the subject safely. 02 18:20 VIR LAND 1 15 1 15 Comox Valley SAR members responded to 201321 BCAS request to rescue an injured male found collapsed on the Sykes Bridge and Broadway Fork Bike Trail. The subject was located and handed off to BCAS. 2 20:01 VIR LAND 1 6 1 6 Campbell River SAR members responded to 201322 assist BCAS with a medical transport on Cortes Island. The subject was recovered in a weak state and was transported to Campbell River Hospital via CCG. 2 22:30 NEA LAND 1 16 1 16 South Cariboo SAR members responded to 201323 search for a missing despondent male in the area near Valentine Lake. The subject was located deceased and was handed off to the BC Coroner Service. 02 11:31 SWE INLAND 1 8 1 8 Chilliwack SAR members responded to a 201324 WATER possible drowning at Cultus Lake. The subject made their way out of the water on their own and was transported to the hospital via BCAS. 03 1226 SWE INLAND 1 8 1 8 Chilliwack SAR members responded to search 201325 WATER for a missing person on the Chilliwack River. The subject was rescued by a passing kayaker and SAR was stood down. 03 VIR LAND 2 13 2 13 Comox Valley SAR members responded to 201326 search for two lost mushroom pickers south of the Inland Highway near Cook Creek Road. The subjects were located alive and well. 03 19:23 VIR LAND 2 1 2 1 SAR member responded to assist an 201327 elderly couple stuck in a gully. SAR stood down before responding as the couple was rescued safely. 03 19:58 SWE LAND 1 20 1 20 Squamish SAR members responded to search 201328 for a missing person from whose vehicle has been located in the Squamish area. >>>>>ONGOING 03 20:11 VIR LAND 1 27 1 18 Nanaimo, 5 Cowichan Valley and 4 Arrowsmith 201329 SAR members responded to search for a male lost in the woods near Ammonite Falls in Benson Creek Park. The subject was located and escorted out by SAR and transferred to BCAS. 04 11:16 VIR LAND 1 12 1 12 Campbell River SAR members responded to 201330 rescue an injured hiker on Mortan Lake Trail. The subject was successfully brought out and handed over to BCAS. 04 12:16 NEA LAND 14 14 North Peace SAR members responded to 201331 rescue an injured mountain biker in Hudson's Hope. SAR was stood down as the Hudson Hope Fire Dept had been dispatched to carry out the rescue. 04 1319 SWE LAND 1 12 1 12 North Shore Rescue members responded to 201332 assist an injured hiker on St. Marks Summit, Cypress Bowl. SAR brought the subject out to the parking lot and she was able to transport herself for treatment. 04 15:32 CTL LAND 1 9 1 9 COSAR members responded to assist a female 201333 who suffered a cycling accident on the Myra Canyon Trail. The subject was handed off to BCAS for transport to the hospital. 04 15:44 SWE LAND 1 19 1 19 Chilliwack SAR members responded to assist 201334 an injured mountain biker on the Vedder Mountain FSR Trail near Cultus Lake. SAR located the subject and stretcher carried him out for hand off to BCAS. 04 18:45 CTL LAND 1 14 1 11 Rescue and 3 Pemberton SAR 201335 members responded to assist an injured hunter in the Big Bar in the Lillooet area. The subject was located and passed over to BCAS. 04 19:07 CTL INLAND 1 4 1 4 Shuswap Rescue 1 members responded to 201336 WATER assist BCAS with an injured subject that suffered injuries after a roll over accident on Shuswap Lake. BCAS treated the subject and took him to hospital 04 19:07 SEA INLAND 1 1 Grand Forks SAR member responded with 201337 WATER Christina Lake Fire to a boat on fire on Christina Lake. The incident turned out to be kids on a raft having a fire. The raft was towed to shore and the fire was extinguished. 04 21:49 SWE LAND 1 3 1 3 Whistler SAR members responded to search for 201338 a lost hiker in the Iceberg Lake area. BODY RECOVERY

On 30 Sept, Bulkley Valley and Houston SAR responded to conduct a body recovery from Price Creek, in the New Hazelton area.

On 03 Oct, the Houston Volunteer Fire Department responded to assist RCMP with a body recovery from an MVI.

FLOODING

On 02 Oct, a task number was requested by Regional District for repairs to flood damage from 02 July.

LANDSLIDE

On 01 Oct, Central Kootenay Regional District evacuated 2 residents due to slope erosion and the potential for the home to enter the Little Slocan River.

MISCELLANEOUS

On 01 Oct, an unintentional release of water from the Cleveland Dam caused several people to be swept down the Capilano River. At the time of this report, multiple people had been rescued, one had been located deceased and one remained missing. Officials reported that the unexpected release from the dam was not due to structural issues and the exact cause was under investigation.

On 02 Oct, the City of Colwood provided ESS for an individual whose home was rendered uninhabitable after a vehicle collided with it.
