The first Caretta-Caretta sea turtle rescue cen - tre of the Mediterranean was founded on the island. Every summer the sea turtles lay their eggs in the bay of La - ganas. Volunteers fence off their nests, take care of the injured sea turtles and inform tourists and students about the actions of the rescue centre. The Zakynthians love singing and dancing very much. They form groups that sing old local songs and serenades accompanied by guitars and man - dolins. During the summer you can hear these beautiful melodies coming from the taverns. Twenty four species (19 Rotifera, 4 Cladocera, 1 Copepoda) were recorded in the zooplankton of Lake Koroneia from June 1999 to June 2000. The domi- nant species were the Cladocera Daphnia magna and the rotifers Brachionus dimidiatus and B. rubens. Total abundance ranged from 13 to 32,426 ind. L−1 and its seasonal dynamics resembled those of hypertrophic lakes, but at- taining much higher numbers due to the absence of predation pressure from fish. Rotifers prevailed (up to 100%) during the warm months (June–October) and their seasonal dynamics were governed by temperature and the presence of large Daphnia individuals. Cladocera were absent during the summer due to high pH values (9.32–11.10) and/or the composition of the phytoplankton community where Anabaenopsis milleri prevailed. His feet were propped on the window sill, his hat was shoved down over his eyes and an unlit pipe hung upside down from his teeth. He wore an expensive but unpressed tweed suit which looked quite in place, and his heavy wool tie was loosened at the throat. He was neither awake nor asleep—aware nor unaware—he was a study in boredom. Perhaps, if you moved in literary circles or were just an avid reader of minor novels, you would recognize him on sight.

Environmental resources (meadows, forests, aquatic, gaming, spa- wellness) develop land policies and service networks with spatial distribution in one region, resulting in the multifaceted function and importance of natural resources for a society and the multidimensional benefits which can be obtained from them. Mountainous regions fall into the above contexts as they include areas under specific legal frameworks and special protection regimes which need to cope with natural and technological needs and hazards. In many cases, knowledge of the value of intangible goods offered to humans is unknown and cannot be conceptualized by the existing market only. Therefore, it is necessary to design a new hypothetical market by simulating services and resources in an economic valuation grid. It is for these reasons that the present research has been initiated, exploring the attitudes and views of the visitors of the Ski Center of Kaimaktsalan based on the frame of guest satisfaction.
