Proclamation 2019 PROCLAMATION 6th International Marathon «Roads to Rhodes Marathon» The EAS SEGAS Dodecanese, launches and co-organizes with the South Aegean Region and the NGO << Rhodes Marathon >> and with the support of the Municipality of Rhodes and D.O.P.A.R. the 6th International Marathon Race «Roads to Rhodes Marathon». At the same day the Halfmarathon, 10km, 5km and 1km for kids races will be held. The program will be conducted under the following rules: 1. Date: Sunday, April 14, 2019 2. Participation Rules All participants in the Marathon and Halfmarathon must be over 18, for the 10km Race participants must be over 15 and for the 5km race they must be over 12. Every underage runner must present a written consent from his/her parent. In the 1km kids race participants must be born from 2007 to 2009. In order to participate they must present a written consent from their parents. 4. AWARDS 4.1 Prize Money The following Prize Money are awarded to the three male and female winners of the Marathon Race. 1st (male & female) 1000€ 2nd (male & female) 400€ 3rd (male & female) 200€. 4.2 Awards Medals and Certificates are awarded to the three male and female winners of every race. The first male and the first female athletes of every race are also receiving a Cup. Moreover, the best team and the more crowded team of 5k and 10k will be awarded with a Cup. Every finisher will receive a commemorative medal and they will be able to print their digital certificate. 5. Registrations- How to Register – Registration Types 5.1 Registrations Registrations for the Marathon, Halfmarathon 10km and 5km races will be open until the 7th of April 2019. Registrations for the 1km Race will be open until the 31st of March 2019. 5.2 How to Register Registrations are conducted online www.rhodesmarathon.gr 5.3 Registration Types The registration can either be: a. Individual registration, in order to pick up your race pack you have to present an id card or passport. The underage participants are obliged to present a written consent from their parents b. Team Registration, for more than 10 participants without race restrictions. The team registrations have a discount of 5€ per person in the 10km and 5km races and a discount of 10€ per person for the Marathon and the Halfmarathon race. Every team should provide the contact details of their Captain. The captain represents the team for several issues that can occur in the communication with the organisers and will pick up the race packs of the team. If the team has underage members the teams captain is supposed to present the written consent from their parents. 6. Entree fees You can see the entry fee per Race in the following table: 6.1 Basic Entree fee Individual Team and or Discount* Marathon 35€ 25€ Halfmarathon 30€ 20€ 10km Race 20€ 15€ 5km Race 10€ 5€ 1k Kids race** 0€ 0€ * Discount packages are available for unemployed, students, and Armed Forces Executives. Verification document should be adduced. The team registration of the athletes of EAS SEGAS Dodecanese for the 5km race is defined at 10€ per person with a 50% percent return of the cost to the clubs after the end of the race. In every other race the pre-determined group price and the return are valid. ** Student participation is available through their school group or individually in SEGAS office and is free of charge. 6.2 Race Pack and Services 6.2.1 Basic Race Pack Marathon and Halfmarathon Race: Technical ADIDAS T-Shirt, Bib Number, Electronic Timing, commemorative medal, isotonic sports drink, juice, refreshment drinks, energy bars, medical support, digital certificate. 10km and 5km Race: Technical T-Shirt, Bib Number, Electronic Timing, commemorative medal, water supply, medical support, digital certificate. 1km Kids Race Water supply, medical support, T-shirt, medal 6.3 Payment Methods a. Online payment with credit card or debit card VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO and AMERICAN EXPRESS on the website www.rhodesmarathon.gr b. Runners Attendance All Runners are obliged to be at the starting point at least 60 minutes before the start of their race! 8. Participants Safety • In any case runners take part at their own risk. • The organisers have no responsibility for any health problems that can or may happen during the race due to the lack of Preventive Health Care Check Up. • It is recommended that all participants have undergone a recent health care check up. • Organisers won’t ask for any medical certificate since all runners are participating under their own risk and the underage runners with the consent of their parents 9. Refreshment Points 9.1 Marathon Route • Along the Marathon Route there will be 15 Refreshment stations for the participants, starting from the 5th km. • Water is offered to the runners at the Start, the Finish and every 2.5km after the 5th km. • Runners will find Isotonic Sports Drink at the refreshing points on the 5th km, 10th km, 15th km, 20th km, 25th km, 30th km, 35th km and 40th km. • Sponges with water will be available at 7.5km, 12.5km, 17.5km, 22.5km, 27.5km, 32.5km and 37.5km. • Bananas will be offered to the runners at the stations on the 25th km, 30th km, 35th km and Finish. • Energy Gels at the 20th and 30th km • The refreshment points at the 37.5km and the 40th km will also support with bottled water the runners of the 10k race. • At the Finish there will be bottled water, sport drinks, energy bars and rehabilitation supplements for the Marathon and Halfmarathon runners. • Chemical toilettes every 2.5 km of the route. • Medical help will be available on the start the finish and every refreshment station. 9.2 Halfmarathon Route • Along the Halfmarathon Route there will be 7 Refreshment stations for the participants, starting from the 5thkm. • Water is offered to the runners at the Start, the Finish and every 2.5km after the 5th km. • Runners will find Isotonic Sports Drink at the refreshing points on the 5th km, 10th km, 15th km and 20th km. • Sponges with water will be available at 7.5km, 12.5km, and 17.5km. • At the Finish there will be bottled water, sport drinks, energy bars and rehabilitation supplements for the Marathon and Halfmarathon runners. • Chemical toilettes every 2.5 km of the route. • Medical help will be available on the start the finish and every refreshment station. 10. Kilometric Markers On all races there will be visible kilometric markers. 11. Time Limits: The time limit for the Marathon Race is 6 hours from the start of the race. For the Halfmarathon 3 hours, 100 minutes for the 10k race and 55 minutes for the 5k race ATTENTION: there will be a time limit of 3 hours for the marathon runners to cross the 21st km. ATTENTION: Athletes that continue their race after the time limit has passed are doing so at their own risk.
